St. Croix the Island Paradise

The sights and sounds of the American Virgin Island of St. Croix are phenomenal. I am amazed to find a new view everytime as I drive along the small, winding roads.  The island holds the title of the easternmost point of the United States.  It is from high up on a cliff that you can view the ocean as it spreads in a stunning Caribbean blue.  The sandy beaches are enhanced by the shallow water reefs where snorkeling allows one to enjoy the underwater world with ease.
The island is small and intimate and yet due to the quick elevation changes also allows one to rise up quickly to the rainforests that are abundant with mahogany and teak trees.  Tropical blooms splash colors everywhere that meld with the rich vibrant green of foliage. The bougainvillaeas sprout profusely as well as orchid and other blooming trees.  Many varieties of palms, bannana and mango trees dot the landscape.
