The Apprentice ...

I miss you already; though you're not really gone -
Yesterday's dream is the futures first dawn.
In the mist of the sadness, there's life in the sense,
That nothing has changed, except present tense.
What happened in moments, took years to unfold,
(While tears are just gladness of friendships;) untold!
One life in the living, another in thought;
Remolded, refashioned, old memories recaught.
Sanctioned, at onset, by a God who knows why ...
Tested by faith each day 'til I die.
Opening my eyes to new wonders I see.
Renewing my heart to rejoice and believe.

As endless and changing, as waves kissing sand.
Indentured yet free, to soar as I stand ...
