Troop 969 does lots of interesting things.  Like summer camp.  This year we are going to Ransburg in Indiana.  Our troop also likes to go hiking,canoeing, rock climbing and even white water rafting.  Most of all we work on merit badges and rank advancement.

Last year troop 969 had 3 scouts become Eagle.

Troop 969's Adventures

Troop 969 makes sure they go on at least one big activity each month.  We also like working on rank advancement an merit badges.  Last year our big merit badge was hiking. We had to do five, ten mile hikes and a twenty mile hike.

Troop 969 is now working on the pottery merit badge.  It's a really cool merit bage if you like making things out of clay.  We have to make four pots and an animal sculpture.   We sometimes go to Rock Quest.  That's a blast. Almost everyone in our troop goes.  There are so many of us go that we almost have to fight over the walls.

Our troop also likes to "play in the water."  We like going canoeing and white water rafting.  We have canoed in the lake at Camp Daniel Boone, Peterloon, Morgans Canoe Livery, and Miami Whitewater Forest.  The "older kids" got to go whitewater rafting during thier High Adventure trip at Camp Daniel Boone.

Troop 969 is a blast.  We do so much it makes my head spin.
