Through My Eyes
( Title Poem )

Look through my eyes that you may see
The world as I do, in my reality
For unless you use these eyes of mine
To my meaning or intent you may be blind
And if you look through your eyes alone
My view and perception may not be shown
By mistaking my meaning, I may appear insensitive or mean
Then my vision and insight will not be seen
So, I ask that you peer through my eyes and try to understand
My honest intent as my brain moved my hand
How I looked at these things, at the moment I write
Then alone, may you comprehend through my insight
How and why I express the things that I feel
To you my true meaning might seem authentic and real
For when one looks through their eyes alone
Their misinterpretation can make truth seem wrong
Then they argue even though they agree
They make the same statement but, fail to see
That they convey the same message only use different words
They share the same opinion yet, it's lost in the blur
So, I pray in my heart that everything I write
Shows honesty, integrety and brings delight
