Security

I remember being carried as a child
To feel safe and secure
I honestly wish that the feeling from then
Would now continue and endure
Security it seems is now a changing thing
So, it never stays the same
For what made you secure way back then
Now you can no longer claim
The cost of living is on the rise
So, financially security's gone
We must now update for the future
So, we aren't put out of our home
Then as we become secure in our relationship
Our partner goes and breaks their vows
Then once more we are alone
So, now we move on, but how
Is security ever secure
This question I'm asking myself
Or is it like a fragile vase
That rocks on the edge of a shelf
