Interesting facts: Her father Anthony was a biochemist and clinical psychologist. Her mother Janelle was a nursing instructor. Upon Nicole's birth the family moved to Washington D.C., where her father pursued his research on breast cancer. Three years later they made the pilgrimage to their native Sydney. Nicole's first love was ballet. Due to her fair skin Nicole avoided fun in the sun like her classmates and instead retreated to dark rehearsal halls to practise her craft. Suffered a broken rib whilst rehearsing a dance routine for 'Moulin Rouge'. Wore a corset whilst filming 'Portrait Of A Lady' which took her waist size down to 19". Spent two weeks in bed after with emotional stress. Adopted a son and daughter. Scared of butterflies. Left-handed, she taught herself to write right-handed for her role in 'The Hours'. Originally cast as Mrs. Smith in 'Mr. & Mrs. Smith' (2005). Scored an IQ of 132+. Doesn't use body doubles for nude scenes.
