January 13, 2006. Welcome to the official launch of the website! While the website is now "open," it is by no means finished. Contributions from collectors all around the world will be welcomed to complete the various gallery pages, and even to add new ones if material offered is sufficient. Please use the e-mail links on this and other pages to contact the team with corrections or contributions. |
January 14, 2006. A second Imperial page has been added, as part of an attempt to show, where possible, the endpoint of various lines of manufacture. The beginning is often well covered, but the endings are always somewhat nebulous. I will be adding new sets of navigational links to each of the pages, to allow for easier back-page choices, with return to index or master index, and to previous page (if the reader is on a multi-page section.) |
January 18, 2006. We have added the REGIA to the page on Spain, with a contribution by Fransu Marin. He has also (correctly) pointed out the Hispano-Olivetti firm, which details have been added, and for which photos will also be added when available. |
January 29, 2006. Addition of Voss (Germany) and Hispano-Olivetti (Spain) galleries today has added eleven and five pictures, respectively, to the site. This brings the total number of machines pictured to exactly 400. |
June 29, 2006. The website continues to experience increasing traffic, with a peak of 542 unique page views in May of this year. A new LINKS page is being added and link-trading will begin shortly between this and other major typewriter collecting websites. |
July 25, 2006. Added today a page on the German SIEMAG, with five further machines, and added another ORGA not previously seen, bringing the total on-site to 406 machines. |
November 21, 2006. Added today a page on the German STOEWER, with five further machines than shown previously (on other pages with other names) bringing total on-site to 411 machines. |
December 27, 2006. Two "wartime finish" Ideal D machines added today in the Germany section, bringing site total up to 413 machines. A page on the Triumph adds six more (total 419) with many more of this brand to come. Nine more machines on a new Torpedo page brings total on site to 428 machines. |
