Procedure

In comp lab for research on Renaissance artists.

Sign up list for topics for anyone who has not selected an artist.

Power point slides on format for student reports on power point.




Content

2nd time in Comp lab
1. remind students of assigned seats
2. rules
3. discuss procedures
4. begin research

Objectives

The students will: 1). After selecting a topic, begin to research them on internet. 2). Copy and paste info in Word. 3). Discuss power point report format, (Wed), and work in comp lab over rest of this lab session.


Materials:

comp lab, disk, Power point on reports format. Sign up sheet with report topics.



Read: pp Renaissance.

Remember to write a journal entry

Wednesday

Procedures

Computer lab.

Students should have report topics, notebooks with format for power point slide show, disk. Students will work on research and creating slide show using wizard.

Research on internet
Renaissance
Set up Powerpoint using wizard
Align slides with "outline" (text p. 3, top or column 1)


Objectives

The students will: 1). Procede with research on their topics. 2).Create a slide show using the format given in class, ex: font size, pictures, crop feature, organization, drawing feature, map animation, and bibliography.


Materials:

comp lab, disk, notebooks.

Thursday

Content

Continue from Tuesday. Continue with research and to build power point. Those who finish and have a microphone may narrate their slide show.


Procedures

Continue from Tuesday-
set up Powerpoint using Wizard

Align slides with 8 slides outline, and narration.


Objectives

The students will:1). same as Tuesday.


Materials:
same as Tuesday, each student should have brought a mike to narrate.

Homework:Read Renaissance chapter.

Friday

Procedures

Last day in comp lab. Be sure to have all power point slides ready, or ask for white passes. Today students will become Reanaissance artists themselves. Use drawing features to outline and fill in their portraits.


Content

Continue from Thursday. Drawing features, transparency, fill, etc. features.


Objectives:
The students will: 1). Continue same as Thursday.



Materials:

Same as Wednesday.

  • Project:

    Powerpoint report on Renaissance artists.

    Tests

    All tests will be given on days assigned by administration.
    Tests are usually scantron type tests. That is, Multiple Choice, True/False, Matching, and/or Short Answer.
    All "make up" tests are essay type. Make up day is, in class on Friday, unless other arrangements are made. All tests MUST be made up NO LATER than 2 weeks prior to the end of the grading period.

    Notebooks

    Notebooks are required for this class and must be brought to class every day. A grade is given each 9 weeks for the notebook. Be sure yours is up-to-date and all work is in it. Notebook checks are unannounced, so be sure you have yours with you EACH day for class. No locker visits are permitted to go get it.

    Homework

    LATE HOMEWORK IS NOT ACCEPTED. If you are legally absent from school, for each day of school that you miss, you will have that same number of days to make up homework. For example, if you are absent from school for 3 days, homework must be turned in NO LATER than 3 days AFTER the due date.

    All homework MUST have a heading: your first name and your last name, the name of the class, and period, and the date.
