And
now a few words about the show.....
While they were
in college, two amazingly talented students (Rice & Webber)
produced this charming, melodic, funny and moving musical telling
of the biblical story of Joseph and his brothers.
From
the days when Jacob bestows a beautiful coat on his favorite son Joseph,
through the low times when his jealous brothers sell Joseph
into Egyptian
slavery, to the amazing moment when Joseph uses his gift of interpreting
dreams to save the nation from starvation, you'll be swept up in
this fast-moving and colorful show.
Highly recommended for audiences
of all ages, JOSEPH... is a miracle of a show. Using a variety of musical
styles, from country to calypso,
rock to
music hall, the show faithfully captures the great story, leaving
audiences laughing and applauding and delighted the world over.
(And how many shows give you a Pharaoh that's an Elvis impersonator?!)
