These are various items that you should aware of. These are basic requirements and you do not get points for adhering to this list. Please note the various penalties for including or not including the following items:
Format issues
incorrect heading on first page -5
no page number with last name in top right corner of every page after the first -5 (note that this header should not fall within your margin)
incorrect margins -5
no title -5
paper too short -10 (at least)
something other than 12 pt. Times New Roman -10
no staple -10
no underlined or italicized thesis -5
Research
no research -40 (at least two sources used four times each=5 points per usage)
no works cited page -10
Sylistic
use of I -5 (for first instance; minus one point for every usage thereafter)
use of you after the first sentence -5 (for first instance; minus one point for every usage thereafter)
Major Grammatical Issues
comma splice or run-on -5 (for first instance; minus one point for every usage thereafter)
fragment/phrase -5 (for first instance; minus one point for every usage thereafter)
misspelled word -5 (for first instance; minus one point for every usage thereafter)
punctuating questions as statements and vice versa -5 (for first instance; minus one point for every usage thereafter)
