The Fountainaires, a band with the sound of the "big band" era, is made up of members of the concert band. This photo was taken during a summer concert in the American Legion Park in Marysville. They have played for many festivals and dances in the area and are being scheduled for the remainder of this year at the present time. |
Within the WCOCCB, other groups have formed. At the present time, The Fountainaires, a dance/jazz band, is the main ensemble. The Fountainaires have performed steadily for the past few years at numerous locations: Bellefontaine, during the Logan County Fair, West Liberty for the annual Labor Day Festival in Lions Park, and Indian Lake for the St. Mary of the Woods Festival and the Harvest Festival. Repertoire includes Big Band Era, Swing, and Contemporary Jazz.
The Concert Band also represented Ohio at the Festival of States in Washington, D.C., in 2000, playing concerts at various venues throughout the area.
Tax-Exempt Status
The Band achieved non-profit, tax-exempt status in 1993 and therefore, all contributions made to WCOCCB are tax-deductible for income tax purposes.
We welcome any and all donations. Donations are used to help defray expenses, such as the purchase of new music, upkeep of equipment, etc.
