Debra Balsamo, Co-Owner
Winners Circle Productions
Debra Balsamo is Co-Owner/Co-Director of Winners Circle Productions of Louisiana and has been involved in the pageant industry since 1984. She has extensive experience as a pageant director, judge, mistress of ceremonies, and auditor/tabulator, as well experience as a pageant mom and contestant herself. Debra has won a variety of pageant titles including Mrs. Kenner Woman, Mrs. Orleans Parish Woman, and First Runner-Up in the Ms. Louisiana State Woman Pageant. She is the mother of Shaylinn Balsamo, and the grandmother of one grandson, Gabriel, who is already off to an impressive start in the pageant world by winning the title of Baby Master Jonesville (La.) at the age of three months old and Baby Master New Orleans Stars & Stripes (La.) at the age of 17 months.

Winners Circle Productions began operation in February 1990. It started as a fundraising idea for a new Mardi Gras (Carnival) Club on the West Bank of New Orleans, Louisiana. After declaring its first pageant production a smashing success, WCP made the decision to continue operating and producing events on a regularly scheduled basis.

The awards presented to the pageant winners were custom made and exclusively unique to the area at that time. WCP went on to produce a variety of pageants including :
  • Miss Gretna
  • Miss Marrero
  • Miss Harvey
  • Miss Westwego
  • Miss South Louisiana
  • Miss and Master Bayou Lafitte
  • Miss and Master Bayou Louisiana
  • ....and many more!

Our first Miss South Louisiana, Debbie Delhomme, went on to win the coveted title of Miss Louisiana USA. As Miss Louisiana USA, Delhomme finished in the Top Five at the nationally televised Miss USA pageant.

Our first ever Mrs. Gretna, Denise Isabelle, went on to compete in the 1992 Mrs. Louisiana pageant, an official state preliminary to the Mrs. America and Mrs. World Pageants. As Mrs. Gretna, Denise captured the Mrs. Louisiana title and went on to compete in the Mrs. America pageant where she received the Mrs. Congeniality award, a special honor voted on by fellow contestants.

In the years that followed, WCP, in partnership with the Krewe of Argo (Mardi Gras organization), signed on as a local franchise holder with the Miss Louisiana and Miss America Scholarship Organization to begin producing an official local Miss America preliminary pageant, which would come to be known as the Miss Crescent City pageant. Miss Crescent City was produced for three years and sent its namesake titleholder each June to the annual Miss Louisiana Pageant in Monroe. Former Miss Crescent City winners include Catherine Shreves, Erika Schwartz, and Rose Triggs. WCP sponsored events and appearances for all of its titleholders, thereby truly making everyone a part of the Winners Circle Family.

After taking some time off for regrouping and reorganization, Winners Circle Productions once again proudly announces its renaissance, rebirth, and some exciting additions to an ever expanding list of services for those in the pageant industry. Now in 2007 Winner's Circle Productions will eliminate local children's pageants and focus on the new National Systems. Louisiana Beauties of America and Louisiana Miss Plus America; Texas Beauties of America and Mississippi Beauties of America. Winners Circle Productions proudly celebrates its 16th year of pageant production, in addition to trophy manufacturing and assembly. The celebrated rebirth of Winners Circle Productions will prove to be a benefit to all, including pageant contestants and pageant directors throughout the pageant industry.
