1ST PLACE C STOCK CENTRAL CAROLINAS 2001 REGIONAL SOLO II SERIES POINTS CHAMPIONSHIP |
After a tough series of personal events, on 2 season-old Kumhos, Crummett, aka Prancingdawg, manages to attend enough events and remain in the winners' bracket for his first season championship in the Central Carolinas Region Solo2 Division of the SCCA. Since the NCAC was reduced to only four events this year, and attendance was required in 3 of the 4 events, Crummett was unable to compete in that series due to scheduling conflicts. Crummett did manage to attend the 24 Heures du Mall NCAC event held at Eastland Mall in Charlotte September 2-3, but succombed to fatigue and tires. Having experienced previous successes competing in Highland, Triad, and Tarheel club events Crummett decided at the beginning of the 2001 season that due to financial considerations and personal commitments he would be unable to compete a full schedule as in previous years. Crummett chose to concentrate on the CCR championship series and focused all efforts on moving up in the points standings. Crummett's goals for 2002 season include new tires, a return to the NCAC, and expanding competition into SC and VA regions, with perhaps a Divisional in the works. A return to Kershaw is inevitable, as is a renewed effort to acquire more seat time. Also, don't be surprised if Crummett appears to compete next season in a '99 Miata. Happy Motoring! |
