Welcome to Keyboarding for high school students. It is our hope that you will be blessed by the time you invest our class. WCS keyboarding is taught using the Touch Typing method. The method considered by most scholars to be the fastest and most reliable typing method yet devised. During the time you spend with us, you will learn how to format business documents, edit and correct documents, format tables and outlines and create professional looking research papers. Grammatical and syntactical rules are taught by application and you will be taught how to avoid common literary errors.

After finishing your initial instruction, it is our goal to use asysnchronous teaching techniques to raise your typing speed to 45 words per minute or better with an accuracy at least 90%. Computer programs designed and developed at Westminster will be used to test your speed and accuracy using the most stringent of standards.

Speed and accuracy are calculated by computer based testing programs and are scored using a using a standard distribution curve that is computer based as well. Your professionality will be determined by inspection of fingering methodology and eye tracking. Your work habits and behavior will be carefully scrutinized and graded according to strict business standards.
