13 January 2004
Welcome, all, to a new semester of Guilde meetings. Festivities begin this week on Thursday 15 January in the theater of the new UC2 with a selection of readings by Guilders and others. Be present at this time if you wish to have some say on which day meetings will be held this year.

2 October 2003

Well, three successful meetings under our belt. Negotiations remain underway for our participation in Spirit Week, and we are scheduled in a relatively non-negotiable way for the Ron Rash reception on 14 October. Mark your calenders, inform your personal secretaries, etc.

In site news, every section now has content with the exception of the Constitution, which I have to revise in a major way before it's fit for public consumption. It shouldn't matter too much, though, as we're now registered an official WCU Club with the administrative types over at the University Center. Cool, ne?

11 September 2003

Creative Writer's Guilde now has a website. Betcha didn't know that. It is still under construction but as of today the following sections have been updated: History, Dramatis Personae, Chronicles, Stuff We Like, and News.

The first annual meeting of the CWG will take place this Friday on 12 September 2003 at 4 pm in the Faculty Lounge on the fourth floor of Coulter. Because this meeting is to be/has been advertised by word of mouth only, it is considered a preliminary meeting for planning and other purposes. This meeting is open to new and returning members.

All persons, regardless of their location or status, are encouraged to sign up for the mailing list using the doohickey on the index page. In time I hope people will use the mailing list to share their work, rather than simply to communicate news, and I encouraged the community outside WCU to be part of that. I mean, hell---if you've actually heard of us, we want to know how. So join up, and welcome.

The mailing list would be mandatory for at home members if I had any power to make it so; as it is I'll just ask really nicely.
