I first got my 1961 Studebaker Lark back in 1998, my dad brought it for me when I turned 16.      It was my first car, and the car that I learnt to drive in.    It was a drivable car but needed a fair bit of work. Over the years the years I have restored the car, with paint, mechanical, interior and chrome work been done on the car. When I got my licence it was my everyday car for a few years. I got my second Studebaker, a 1955 Commander in 2000, when I decided I wanted to restore a car from scratch. I have pulled the car down to a bare shell with all panels, running gear and interior all being removed. The chassis has been stripped and restored, the entire body panel stripped by hand and sprayed in primer and the engine has been rebuilt. At the moment the car is ready to be spayed (A nice bright red and white). It will be a few years and allot of work before this one sees the road.
