The end was coming in the late 1960's for the CNJ and some of the last power it sported would either be borrowed from the B&O, N&W or leased from the State of New Jersey for commuter service like #3687 EMD GP40P below and FM H10-44 # 9607 owned by the B&O.
My final picture below is an early morning fog shrouded scene with the Jersey City Terminal in the distance behind the car sheds as a commute train waits for passengers. Like the ghostly fog scene below the CNJ has also faded into the mists of memory gone forever but never forgotten,
