3.3 Future Continuous Tense

วัตถุประสงค์ หลังจากศึกษาเนื้อหาในเรื่อง future continuous tense แล้ว
   นักศึกษาเข้าใจและสามารถตอบคำถามในเรื่องต่อไปนี้ได้ถูกต้อง
 

1.  รูปกริยาที่ใช้กับ future continuous tense

2.  โครงสร้าง  future continuous tense

3.  หลักการใช้ future continuous tense

·       โครงสร้างประโยค future continuous tense มี 2 แบบ คือ

1. ประธาน + will be + present participle

             When your plane arrives tonight, I will be waiting for you at the airport.

           เมื่อเครื่องบินที่คุณโดยสารมาถึงในคืนนี้ ฉันคงจะกำลังคอยคุณอยู่ที่สนามบิน

 

2. ประธาน + am, is, are + going to + present participle

 

  When your plane arrives tonight, I am going to be waiting for you at the airport.
   เมื่อเครื่องบินที่คุณโดยสารมาถึงในคืนนี้ ฉันคงจะกำลังคอยคุณอยู่ที่สนามบิน

 

·       ตัวอย่างประโยค  future continuous tense

หลักการใช้ Future Continuous Tense

1. ใช้กล่าวถึงเหตุการณ์ในอนาคตสองเหตุการณ์ เหตุการณ์ที่หนึ่งเป็นเหตุการณ์ที่กำลังเกิดขึ้น แล้วมีเหตุการณ์ที่สองขึ้นมาแทรก โดยใช้คำเชื่อม when, after หรือ before

   
อดีต ปัจจุบัน อนาคต

I will be mowing the grass, when you get home.

ฉันคงจะกำลังตัดหญ้า เมื่อตอนที่คุณกลับมาถึงบ้าน

 

Tom will be watching TV, when his girlfriend comes in.

         ทอมคงจะกำลังดูทีวี เมื่อตอนแฟนของเขาเข้ามา

         2. กล่าวถึงเหตุการณ์ที่ผู้พูดคิดว่ากำลังดำเนินอยู่ในอนาคต

I am going to be mowing the grass by 10 a.m. tomorrow.

          ฉันคงจะกำลังตัดหญ้า ตอน 10 โมงเช้า ในวันพรุ่งนี้
3. การเปรียบเทียบ future continuous tense กับประโยค continuous อื่นๆ

 past continuous:

 At 8 o'clock yesterday, I was at home. I was watching TV.
 เมื่อตอน 8 นาฬิกาเมื่อวานนี้ ฉันกำลังดูรายการโทรทัศน์อยู่ที่บ้าน

 present continuous:

 It is now 8 o'clock, I am at home. I am watching TV.
 ขณะนี้เวลา 8 นาฬิกา ฉันกำลังดูรายการโทรทัศน์อยู่ที่บ้าน

 future continuous:

 By 8 o'clock tomorrow, I will be at home. I will be watching TV.
 เมื่อตอน 8 นาฬิกาในวันพรุ่งนี้ ฉันคงจะกำลังดูรายการโทรทัศน์อยู่ที่บ้าน

 

หมายเหตุ คำกริยาที่ไม่ใช่ action verb (กริยาแสดงการกระทำ) ไม่ใช้ในรูปประโยค future continuous tense เช่น (feel, hear, taste, smell, see, know, believe, understand, recognize, remember, mean, possess, own, belong, want, prefer, need, appreciate, love, like, hate, dislike, seem,  appear)

 

แต่ถ้าต้องการใช้คำเหล่านี้เพื่อสื่อความหมายของประโยค future continuous tense ให้ใช้เป็นประโยค simple future tense แทน เช่น

 

I will be needing to buy a new computer tomorrow. (future continuous tense) ให้ใช้เป็น  I will need to buy a new computer tomorrow. (simple future tense)

 

I will be loving you tomorrow. (future continuous tense)

ให้ใช้เป็น I will love you tomorrow.  (simple future tense)

 

ACTIVE:   At 8:00 pm. tonight, Tom will be watching a movie.

                               2 ทุ่มคืนนี้ ทอมคงจะกำลังดูภาพยนตร์

PASSIVE:   At 8:00 PM tonight, the movie will be being watched by Tom.
                     2 ทุ่มคืนนี้ ภาพยนตร์คงกำลังจะถูกดูโดยทอม
