First Semester Exam Guide
On your exam you can expect the following:
There will be approximately 45 multiple choice questions on the regular exam covering the following topics:
- Vectors: resultants and components
- Kinematics - displacement, velocity, and acceleration
- Einstein's Theory of Relativity
- Graphical analysis of motion: Position-Time graphs and Velocity-Time Graphs
- Free Fall
- Dynamics - Forces
- Newton's Laws of Motion
- Net Forces: weight, normal force, tension, friction, etc
- There will be one short answer question on the exam in which you will be asked to explain the theory behind one of the project's conducted during the first semester.
- Problems- there will be a maximum of 8 problems on the regular physics exam covering the following topics:
- Determining the net force: This problems requires a free body diagram
- Law of Free Fall
- Relative Velocities
- Kinematics - Acceleration
- Vectors
- Newton's Second Law
