OFFICIAL RULES:

PROCEDURE:

1.        Musical Instruments must be completed by the end of class the day prior to testing your instrument.

2.        You are responsible for being present to personally operate your device on the day of the competition.

d)       How is the volume of the notes amplified?

e)       To what other instruments is it similar?

2.        Performance Test: A member of the duet will demonstrate the instruments frequency and amplification range by playing each note that the instrument is capable of playing individually. Readings from an electric frequency tuner and sound meter will be used to determine how well the instrument performs.

3.        The Concert: A member of the duet will demonstrate the instruments sound quality by playing a musical selection for a minimum time of 90 seconds. The song must be a melody that is easily recognized by the instructor.
