That's the problem! Who's who? you have to know that the handmaidens were chosen for their strong resemblance to the Queen, and most of all they have to fade in the background, while Amidala shines in all her beauty. This anonymity has the added advantage of decieving the enemy, who think that they are merely meek handmaidens, while in fact they are all trained bodyguards. In this page we'll try to recognize the handmaidens in all the TPM scenes, or almost all :-)
Eirtaé is the only handmaiden with blonde hair. While wearing the hood, she is easily recognizable because of her thin lips, and rather pale skin. The nose is also a bit large, and this is very useful to recognize her among all the other handmaidens. She is present in the Theed Palace at the beginning, during the Escape, on the ship, in the Queen's Chambers on Coruscant, in the Senate, coming back to Naboo, at the battle, at the funeral, and the end celebration.
Rabé is easily recognizable because of her greek nose and noble expression. This is the reason why the first handmaiden you can tell from the others is Rabé! She is the only handmaiden with a apeaking role, besides Sabé. She is present in Theed Palace, during the escape, on the ship, in the Queen's Chambers on Coruscant, when she lies to Anakin saying that Padmé is out, in the Senate, coming back to Naboo, at the battle, at the funeral, and the end celebration.
Saché appears in a vey few scenes: the Throne Room scene, just in the background, during the escape, and at Qui Gon's funeral, just behind Ric Olie, the Naboo pilot who drives the Queen's Royal Starship. This is again a problem of noses and lips, the only things we can see under those hoods. Sachè's nose is rather large, as the lips, and she seems more a woman than a girl.
Yané appears in few scenes too. by the way, she appears in the same scenes we see Saché, and also at the parade. You can easily see that she has big lips and a very young face. She's always on the background. When The Queen and her handmaidens welcome Palaptine at the end of the film, Yané is played by a misterious uncredited actress...
