About a year ago Sam decided that she wanted a drum set and bought one for pretty cheap off a friend. After she learned a bit Sam and Mary started talking about forming a band. Sam knew this girl, Ashley, with an amazing voice so she asked her if she wanted to be in a band. Then at school Sam and Mary talked to a guitarist to see if she was interested in playing. This was the start of the band. With Mary on bass, Ashley with vocals, Sam on drums, and Kelly on guitar.
Well after a while things weren't working out with Kelly. The band decided to break up. Mary played bass with another band for a while and Sam was going to play the drums in another band. Then Ashley Mary and Sam decided to give the band idea another go. Mary switched to guitar and things worked out well with her there. We decided to skip covers and go straight for the originals. This was the birth of Fatal Beauty and the first song completed "Mistaken Image". After working long and hard on Mistaken Image, the band got into the groove of writing music. We learned some covers and got our first show. We still didn't have a bass player though. About a week and a half before our first show we got to talking to Meghan and asked her to learn the songs and play with us in the show. She did and the four of us now form the rockin' chick band Fatal Beauty. |
