| Jacquette Tourault was born about 1620 in St-Amand-de-Boixe, Angouleme, Angoumois, France; the daughter of Francois Tourault and Marthe Noel. She arrived in the Quebec Colony with her daughter Suzanne Jaroussel, a Filles A Marier, and herself made the list since she was widowed from Suzanne's father; Pierre Jaroussel. Her first marriage in Quebec was to Jacques Previrault on July 21, 1653; but he died a month later on August 25. Jacquette then married Maurice Arrive from Saint-Denis-la-Chevasse La Roche-sur-Yon, Lucon, Poitou, France; but the couple had no children. Jacquette died on April 21, 1670 at Ste-Famille and Maurice followed on August 26, 1687. |
