| Name: Rick Westall Job: Vocals, Tambourine, (occasional) Rythm Guitar Likes: Vodka, being egotistical, sex, perfecting the art of being a Waster, short girls who are crazee, and Mods. Dislikes: Trendies, Dance music, Pop groups, The Darkness, being called a Greebo... History/Profile: I'm one of the original members of the band known as Reverb, and it was me that founded it with Goon when he approached me with his guitar and asked if i'd sing a few of his songs. After a few little pub gigs, with just me, him and his acoustic, we decided we'd never get famous like that, and it's all gone mad from there... I HATE trendies, with their white loafers, and their short jeans, with their gelled quiffs....and their crappy music. I absolutely abhor them. Music has always been a part of my life, starting when I was just a wee lad, and was singing in my Infant school choir. I sort of drifted in and out of singing in school choirs through most of school, before being roped into the 'Senior Boys Group' for Passmores. After school, I took Performing Arts at college, and that involved singing, and was a major boost to my self confidence, which had never been brilliant. Matt Payne, my music tutor at the college, told me I had a great voice, and that I should use it, and push forward more in class performances. I did, and as my confidence grew, I practiced more (about this time Goon approached me with his guitar), and my ego started to swell!. Since then, i've just never been able to get away!! |
