ANGELS END OF SEASON WEEKEND 2004
Mike Steel's murderous habits. The Angels awards. A night of making arses of ourselves in Dundee. This can all only mean one thing. Yes, at the end of another successful, emotional season, Angels With Dirty Faces FC went out to celebrate, starting with the SPL crunch clash between Hearts and Dundee United where football was the true winner. As were Hearts.

But, after the match, a taxi to Dundee Megabowl and the festivities were truly beginning. Among the buckets of Bud, a few games of bowling were attempted. Of note, were the valiant attempts by Tom to break the landspeed record for bowling balls and Nick's attempts to break the ceiling, on his way to equalling the Angels lowest bowling score of 29...

As time wore on, the Angels needed to get to the Jahangir and the Megabowl staff needed the Angels to go away. With 6.45 approaching at a mutually convenient time, off went the Angels to wreak havoc upon a new group of locals. The Jahangir staff. To say each Angel reached a new level of sweating is an understatement, as Laurence stumbled through his korma and Mike Steel bravely battled through the dressed haddock. Once the relay team had completed their trip to the conveniences, the voting could begin.

Following Pete's discovery that clicking fingers are not an appreciated way of getting a waiter's attention, the Angels had outstayed their welcome and moved onto Dundee Union. Friends were made and stories shared, Chartreuse drunk and Chartreuse chundered. The move into Mono led to Tom's undoubted dancing talents being outlined to all and sundry and the drink continued to flow. As the shots mixed with pints, and shorts mixed with dancing, and time wore on, Laurence, Pete, Stew, Tom all made their exits early, leaving Tricky to head back home and Mike Steel, Sam Marrs and Nick Yarrow to attempt the behemoth that is the Paula Radcliffe half challenge. A brave battle ensued, however after 10 and a quarter miles, the lure of a drive home proved too great and the challenge was abandoned. All in all, the Angels once again left their mark in Dundee, no more so than in the Jahangir and, with only a year to go till the next one, who knows whether Dundee will be prepared.
