I'm sure you've heard it before. Information is the number one selling product on the internet. In this short tutorial (I promise I won't take up too much of your time) I will share with you how to make an income on the internet.I use my own experience and I will also direct you to sources that may help you.

O.K. let's get started

If you're still not convinced that information is the top selling product on the internet, think about this for a moment. Why are you here right now reading this tutorial and downloading free ebooks? Exactly, you want information. After all isn't that what started the internet. People looking for ways to find and transfer information. It is now easier than ever to buy a turnkey premade web site for 10-40$ and start selling information. Personally I have had the best results from a site called Myebookbusiness.net. They offer over 50 ebooks with full resell rights, plus you get a $15 commision for every new affiliate that joins under you. I got most the books I sell on this site from them. I was a little leary about the $30 fee but it was well worth it.

Affiliate programs are also a very good way to make a solid income from the internet.There are literally thousands of affiliate programs on the internet from every interest catagory. If you haven't already I strongly suggest you download the free ebook Affiliates Mastercourse. Reading this book improved my business greatly. I won't get into the details of what an affiliate program is, but I will share a couple of tips for choosing a good affiliate program.

• Good Product Ultimately what makes the sale is the product. You can promote a bad product as much as you want but no one will buy it. It will only make you look bad.
• High Commisions Don't promote an affiliate for less than a 25% commision unless you're sure it will sell alot. If you do a search you should have no problem finding affiliate programs that pay 25-75% commisions. Click Bank has hundreds of affiliate programs to join and it's free.
• Good Site Design Make sure the affiliate web site looks good (i.e. good lay out, profession look etc...). In the end this can make or break your sale.
  
  

  Advertising

  
  Here are a couple forms of advertising I use.
  
  • Pay Per CLick Search Engines Very effective form of advertising. Advertisers bid on keywords and the highest bidder gets top rank.The traffic is very targeted.
    
  • Ezines simply post a message or article to an e-zine or message board that is similar to your product (this is very important if you post to message boards about unrelated topics its considered spam) and leave a link to your affiliate site in you signature.
  
  These are methods I don't use any more.
  
  
  • Paid To Read Email I do still use these occationally, but unless you have a product that apeals to every one they are not very effective. It is almost impossible to target interest groups.
  • Traffic Exchange These can be good but for the most part they are a waste of time. The only people veiwing your ad are people trying to sell you something.
  • FFA, Free For All Pages Again the only people viewing your ad are people trying to sell something.
  
  I have had the best response from PPC's.I would recommend Overture or Findwhat. If you're new to pay per click search engines I suggest you stay away from google for now. You could end up throwing away alot of money if you don't do your homework first. If you want to learn more about Google I recomend Google cash. It outlines the whole process step by step. Another good book that's easier on the wallet is PPC Commando.
