Great Cloud of Witnesses by: E.W. Bullinger: Reviewed by: William E. Blackburn
Another masterpiece of enlightenment!
I love the way Bullinger digs to the very heart of subject matter, and he has done it again with this treatise on Hebrews 11 of the Holy Bible. What a masterpiece of enlightenment this book turned out to be; I couldn’t wait to finish the book and yet at the same time I didn’t want it to end for many of his insights were simply astounding. Halfway through this book I put it down just long enough to place an online order for all the other books he has ever composed, and that includes “Commentary on Revelation”, “How to enjoy the Bible”, “Number in Scripture” and “Ten Sermons on the Second Advent”. I believe that I already own all his other titles, but I’ll have to double check to make sure. If you have never read any of Bullinger’s works then I suggest (for your own salvation and enlightenment) that you test the waters by wading through this “Great Cloud of Witnesses”, which is so masterfully elucidated by Mr. Bullinger. I really don’t think you’ll be disappointed with the book, but you might just become disappointed, perhaps even outraged, with the real lack of Biblical scholarship and common teachings of the so-called Christian church, both past and present! Do your soul a big favor – buy and read this and other works by E.W. Bullinger, for he is one masterful scholar who really understood the teachings of Christ, i.e. – The word of God! |
