For two actors who spend so much of their on-screen lives delving into the weird and sometimes strange side of life on "The X-Files," it seems eerily fitting that co-stars Gillian Anderson and David Duchovny celebrate their birthdays only two days apart (Duchovny turned 40 on August 7).

In addition to her role as agent Dana Scully on "The X-files," one-time rock singer Anderson has appeared in such movies as "The Turning," "The Mighty," "Playing By Heart," "Chicago Cab" and "The House of Mirth" (which co-stars Eric Stoltz, Dan Aykroyd, Anthony La Paglia and Elizabeth McGovern and is scheduled for a year 2000 release).
