The original song title is "David Duchovny" but even before the single was released it was catch phrased "Why Won't You Love Me, David Duchovny". Singer, song-writer Bree Sharp was excited when she heard that the song had reached her crush and that he liked it. But that wasn't the end of it, not by a long shot. The song spread like wild fire; X-Philes scrambled to download copies of it and to record the lyrics.
Meanwhile back at the X-Files Studio, Chris Carter and the gang cooked up an interesting video for the X-Files Christmas party. Major stars such as, (boy this is a long list) Jena Elfman, Brad Pitt, Jerry O'Connell, Densie Frans, David Spade, Garry Shandling, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Callista Flockheart, Kelly Packard, Kiss, Whoppi Goldberg, Rosie O'Donnell, Pamela Anderson, Janeane Garofelo, Alex Trebec, Jerry Springer, Micheal McKean (Morris Fletcher), Nick Lea (Krycek), Mitch Pileggi(Skinner), William B. Davis (Cancerman) and of course Gillian Anderson (duh) were all called in to lip-sink to Bree's song and add their own thoughts on it.
One noteable "final thought" is that of Jerry Springer: "From birth all we ever truly want is for people to love us.
