A Bad Fire Can Ruin Your Day!

For the next 10 days - every day I spent 8 to 10 hours sifting through ashes, and soot damaged things, making lists, creating an inventory of our loss.

Here is the PILE that the fire department shoveled out of the kitchen.

I'm supposed to inventory this?????

This is the 30 ft dumpster full of our stuff - smoke damaged or burned. We are now on our 2nd dumpster.  Very attractive in my front lawn!
I have over 100 sheets of inventory.

Brandon lost ALL of his toys!
Most of it smoke & soot damaged.

We'll be spending a bunch of time at Toys R Us!

So far we have inventory sheets of toys that add up to $1700

A professional cleaning company that specializes in Fire Recovery and clean up came in as a team the very next day.  I had about 15 people in the house going through every draw and cabinet I owned and  packing it into boxes to be cleaned (ozoned) or putting it in the corner so I could write it down as "TOTALED"  then OFF to the dumpster!
Their bill was $25,000

Most Everything was lost in the fire.  Now what I do own is in plastic bags or boxes with odds and ends.  Click on the next button and see more.....
