After Bud get back from his meeting with the Admiral. He's
feeling down knowing all the work ahead of him before he can
be back to work full time. He's sitting in front of the television
staring at the blank screen when the doorbell rings.
Bud walks slowly to the front door, he opens the door.
"Mr. Webb, what a surprise. What brings you here? Come on in, can
I get you something to drink?"
"Thanks Roberts, I can't stay. I heard about your meeting with
the Admiral. I wanted to see how you're doing." said Webb.
"Well, um, ok I guess. Just thinking about things. Just
wondering if all this work will be worth it, can I really do all that is
required?" Bud mumbles to himself.
Webb looks at him with a knowing grin,
"Anything is worth it if you put your heart into it. Keep up the
good work. Don't give up on the physical therapy. I need to run
but I have a late housewarming present for you," ask Clay hands
him a small, flat, wrapped package.
"Thank you Mr. Webb," says Bud as he looks at the gift. He
opens it up and reads the plaque;
"They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength.
They shall mount up on wings as eagles; they shall run and
not be weary, they shall walk and not faint. Isaiah 40:31"
Bud turns to thank Clay again and the doorway is empty.
"Thank you Mr. Webb, it's beautiful," Bud whispers. He turns
and closes the door. He walks into the den and finds a place
of honor to hang the plaque as an encouraging reminder that
he can succeed.
