How to Describe
Describing things well enogh to have the reader be able to really get a good picture of it is hard. Believe me, I know. It's really hard to really grasp on an image. This is hard especially if you are writing fantasy or sci-fi stories.
The first thing that you should do is write down all of the adjectives you can think of. You may be surprised about how many, or how little you know. I always find myself trying to describe something but realizing that if I was the reader I would be bewildered. To get more adjectives in your memory then pull out your dictionary, a Thesaurus, or and adjectives book. Here are some simple adjectives that I found other words for. All credit should go to my Webster's New World Thesaurus by Charlton Laird.
Bad - Wicked, evil, sinful, immoral, wrong, corrupt, base, foul, gross, profane, naughty, degenerate, decadent, depraved, heartless, degraded, debauched, indecent, mean, scandalous, nasty, vicous, fiendish, devilish, criminal, murderous, sinister, monstrous, dangerous, rotten, dirty, crooked
