ECC Coaches,

Here is the ECC boys or girls basketball schedule.

Enclosed is the regular season schedule for your division.

Also enclosed is a gym schedule for each home gym.

I need you to check your schedule and see if your schedule and your opponent's dates, times, and locations are the same. Then,  check the gym schedule to see if the home gym is expecting you. If there is an error call Al Cap 250-3648hm or cell 381-8521 for clarification. You can also call the opposing coach and see if they are going to the same place you are. (Trust me, you don't want to send parents, players, cheerleaders to a gym and not have the other team show.) So, it doesn't hurt to double check.

ECC Rules, coaches' roster, and post-season tournament schedule is also enclosed.

Be sure to read the coaches' box on the back side of this letter.

Be nice to the hosts, gate people, and refs of the home gyms. They are our friends and we're all in this together. Tell your parents there is a $2.00 gate admission for adults, .50 for children.

Coach's B0X:  Top ten ways to help you be a successful ECC Coach

1. Be @the host gym 15 minutes before tipoff. Bring your own basketballs to warm up with.

2. If there is snow or ice call the host gym and or the opposing coach to see if the game has been cancelled.

3. READ THE ECC RULES that were mailed to you and become familiar with the various rules.

4. Before the game check your team's schedule and your opponent's schedule to make sure that the times and gyms are the same. Then check the gym schedule to see if that home gym is expecting you. If you have a question you can call the opposing coach and make sure he's going to the same place your going.

5. If there are any rules infractions, contact your athletic director or the commissioner ASAP. The referees are the responsibility of the home gym. If you have a complaint about the refs call the home gym school athletic director and discuss the game with them.

6. After the game the winners call in the score to 250-3648. Or report the score @ the ECC website

7. POST-SEASON TOURNAMENT: Only the top 8 seeds, from each division, make the tournament. Girls Feb 25-Mar2, Boys March 4-9. The commissioner will call the teams on the Saturday or Sunday before the tournament starts and give you the seeds.

8. There are 3 ECC passes that were mailed to you for the head coach, assistant coach and either the cheerleading coach or the scorekeeper. Everybody else pays at the gate.

Adults 2.00 , students 7th grade and up .50, 6th gd and younger are free.

9. Each week wins and losses will be posted on the ECC website. Check it out.
