Syllabus for Mr. Cap’s History Classes

Welcome!!

You are in Mr. Cap’s history class. This is going to be a great school year and I’m looking forward to teaching you.

Supplies needed: Textbook, loose-leaf notebook paper or spiral note book, pencil, pens, red pen.

This history class will cover topics found in the textbook as well as current events taught in a Christian perspective. Mr. Cap tries to use the latest internet and computer access advantages that a teacher can have. See below for web site.

Grading: Since we usually cover a chapter or a ½ chapter of the textbook each week you will be required to read the textbook before the lessons are taught throughout the week. You may take notes over the chapter and use those notes for a  quiz each Monday. Reading notes and class notes can be used for each Monday quiz as well as each 3&6 week exam. Isn’t that cool!!!

Homework: See your Lesson Plans for homework each week. There will be one written assignment each week due Wednesday. These assignments are very easy and should take about 15-20 minutes to complete. 10% will be deducted for each day the assignment is late.

There will also be a 3, 6, and 9 week exams given each quarter.

Monday  Quiz: 16%

Wednesday Homework Assignment: 16%

3 & 6 Week Exam: 34%

9 Week Exam: 34%
Total % 100%
