If I Were A Horse

The guys are all sitting around the lounge area of their tour bus. They have been on the bus for a few hours and still have several hours to go. JC is sitting on one of the couches writing in his notebook (what a surprise). Lance is starring at his laptop. Justin is sitting facing the window with his head on JC's shoulder. Chris and Joey are sitting on the floor fighting over a deck of cards.

As they drive by a field they see several different types of horses and what looks to be a very large crowd surounding them. Justin speaks up, "Hey, JC?"

"Yeah, Just?"

"What kind of horse would I be?"

JC calmly puts his notebook down and turns a little to face Justin, who sits up and faces JC. The rest of the guys look over at Justin at the prospect of what seems to be another brainless but interesting conversation from the two lead singers.

"Where'd that come from Just? I have no idea. What do you mean? What kind of horse would you be?"

"Ok, hold up. I have an idea," Chris speaks up. "Why don't we do like an analogy thing. We can sit in a circle and each one of us can say what type of horse the one next to them would be."

"Man, that is like the lamest idea I have ever heard." Lance complains.

"Yeah, well you got any better ideas?" Joey asks.

"No."

"So I guess we need to get in some kind of circle. Here JC you sit here. Justin to his right and Lance on the left. Joey to Lance's left and I'll be between Justin and Joey. I'll go first and I'm gonna do Joey."

"No, wait. I asked JC I don't want to know what the rest of you think. I want JC to tell us what type of horse he thinks we would be. No offense guys but JC is the creative one."

"Well, this could be interesting." Lance states. "Do we have to stay on the floor or can we get comfortable again?"

"What if I don't want to play this game. I was all for Chris' idea but why do I have to do all of you?"

"Because, you are the 'Creative One'." Joey reasons.

"Oh, that makes it so much better, Joe, thanks for clearing that up for me."

"Sure, C, no problem. Now do me first."

JC stares at Joey for a while and then smiles, "Lipizzaner."

"What? Is that even a breed of horse?" Chris asks.

"Yes. It is. Why?" Lance states.

"Because they are strong and beautiful. They love to perform and because as they age their coats get lighter. Just like Joey."

"What do you mean they get lighter as they get older?" Justin asks.

"Lipizzaner's are born black and as they get older they become white."

"That's pretty cool." Joey says.

"Me next," Chris urges.

JC is quiet for a while, thinking. He looks at Chris for a long time, until Chris starts squirming under his gaze.

JC smirks and says, "Paso Fino."

"Wha..."

"Let me explain. If you guys want me to do this then quit interupting. Chris is a Paso Fino. It is the perfect horse for him. They are high spirited, hard to control, and full of energy. They also love to perform."

"That's pretty cool Jayce, what about Lance? What would he be?" Joey questions.

"Lance is easy. Most people would probably consider him a Quarter Horse because he is reliable. Not me, I would go with the Missouri Fox Trotter. They are strong, have endurance and are also great show horses."

"Hmmm," Lance smiles.

"Ok, now me," Justin enthuses.

"You J are a Tennessee Walking Horse, all the way. You are full of energy, talented, and are always struttin your stuff."

"Cool, I like that." Justin says with a huge grin. "But, what about you. What kind of horse would you be?"

"I would be an Arabian. They are strong, reliable, full of energy and can go forever. They are also the father of all known breeds today."

"Well, that was enlightening. So what do we do now?" Joey asks.

Justin, Lance, and Chris all smile and Lance says, "I say we go see just how much endurance our little Arabian has."
