FREE ASP Chatroom

This chatroom is completely free to download, and only takes up 14kb of your valuable server space. Primarily designed for low level usuage, it is a simple no-frills chatroom, whilst still having full functionality of many other chatrooms. Also included with the download is an instruction page, in PDF format (Acrobat reader). It is fully customisable, as all colours and fonts are controlled by CSS.

This next chatroom has more features, including a password facility, for registered users. It also comes with it's own array of sounds for certain actions within the room. Other general features include

5 min. usertimeout, not acting counts
- 5 rooms for 50 users, 10 for each onee
- 150 rotating messages, 30 in each rooom
- counters for visitors, messages, chattters
- lockable spaces above the first one
- redirects to accessible rooms at logiin

The password facility allows you to

- access hidden rooms
- set topic in every room
- remove users and messages
- watch all rooms at once
- change passwords
- lock up entire chat
- reset, clear chatarea

Technical features include

- mostly asp and vbscript, little javasscript,
  no dll's, no textfiles, no database
- runs with 4 application variables andd a
  session one, memory usage countable
- frames update when application variabbles
  change or every 90 seconds
- errorhandling includes chat resettingg
- can be used as a different applicatioon 
  on one and the same server several times
- copy to asp folder and start playing
