| I'm a native New Yorker, born in the Empire State on the great day of October 3, 1972. I'm actually a upstate New Yorker, you see we get all the benefits of being New Yorkers but with out all the BIG city hassle. Binghamton is my hometown, carousel capital of the world, roughly 80 miles south of Syracuse. I was an active little guy from day 1; always running and playing in the neighborhood. I spent time at our local Urban League and Boy's & Girl's Club. My mother has three sisters and one brother, and all of them have at least five kids so I have several cousins which means I never ran out of things to do, or family to do it with. In 1989 my mother decided to relocate to the Northern Virginia area, so with much enthusiasm (grrrrrr) and little choice in the matter my sister and myself followed. Graduating class of 91, I found myself at NOVA majoring in Criminal Justice. During the next few years I would move back and forth occasionally from VA to NY, from NY to VA, finally settling in Centreville. I am a huge football fan and have the honor of being close to my favorite team, The Washington Redskins ( GO SKINS !!!). | |||||||||||||||||||||||

| I am a "Show ME" girl, home to the Arch, and the Cardinals I was born in St. Louis, Missouri on Oct 17, 1977. I was never one to sit still for long, from my first memories I was always involved in some kind of activity be it, dance, softball, piano, girl scouts, singing, there wasn't hardly a night during the week you could find me at home. I have only my mom and dad to thank for carting me all around St. Louis to one of the many different events. I have one brother who I spent many of hours growing up playing with and of course fighting with as all brothers and sisters do In 1987 my father got a job that brought him to Northern Virginia. My mother, brother, and myself stayed behind and finally joined him out here in the spring of 1991. I graduated from Centreville High School in the spring of 1996 and I went away to Christopher Newport University. During the summer after my freshman year of college I was offered a full time job so I didn't return to CNU that next fall. I still continue to go to college part time, as I pursue a degree in Business Administration; Information Systems. In 2001 I came to work for my current company BAE Systems, where I am an Associate Systems Analyst. While I love to get dressed up, and go out for a night on the town, I am a tomboy at heart. I love sports; baseball (St. Louis Cardinals), and football (Go COWBOYS!!), being my two favorites. I love being outdoors, traveling, camping, the beach. | |||||||||||||||||||||||
| How we met | |||||||||||||||||||||||
| It was the end of August 2002, mutual friends of ours were going to the movies, and each invited us along. From the beginning Adam and I clicked, and the four of us hung out again that week. Adam called me that following friday and we talked, but after that he never called back... all I could think was that jerk. Weeks passed and I thought that was the end of it, but on September 11, 2002 the four of us all met up at Kilroy's. At first Adam and I didn't talk, and when Adam did finally speak to me he asked me, "Are you mad at me," my answer: "YES." Over the course of the night he kept asking me the same question, and my answer was always the same. When I was getting ready to leave Adam asked me, "What do I have to do for you to not be mad at me?" I told him as I was leaving, "romance me," (little did I know that over the course of the next few months Adam would sweep me off my feet.) Over the course of the next month, we began to hang out a lot more. We went to the movies together, went to dinner, cooked together, went dancing, or just sit and talk for hours on end. I knew from the beginning that my feelings for Adam were different. No matter how many times I told myself not to fall for him, my heart couldn't help it. It was the middle of October when there was no denying it. Adam called from work and said he was going to the ER after he got off because his leg had really been bothering him and was swollen. I asked him if he wanted me to meet him there, but he said no he'd call me when he got home. Once I knew he was at the hospital, I had a feeling I never had before. I was nervous, sick to my stomach, worried to death so I got in my car and drove straight to the ER, saying I'd just sit in the waiting room if he didn't want me there... but I wasn't leaving. The receptionist told me to go on back, but I made her go and ask Adam first. She quickly came back and told me to go on in. I'll never forget the moment I walked in that room, the butterflies in my stomach, shaking hands, racing heart all found peace once I saw him, and it was at that moment that I knew I loved him, I knew he was the one. Adam said months later it was that night that he knew that he had found is best friend, his soul mate, the woman he would spend the rest of his life with. We soon became inseparable, by Christmas we both knew this was "it." We began seriously talking about the future and us. I told him once that my mom had told me to marry my best friend, I never knew what she meant until now... because I truly am marrying my best friend. On March 21st, 2003 Adam made it official. At our favorite little spot Basin Street, Adam got down on one knee and asked me to be his wife. Of course I said YES! To clinging champagne glasses and a dessert with a flaming candle we celebrated the night and the beginning to our future together. December 12, 2003 we were married at McLean Bible Church. It was a beautiful December day, the weather was just perfect (for December!) The ceremony was beautiful... there was laughter, there was tears, there was love, friends and family. It was a day we will never forget. After the wedding we headed off to 7 WONDERFUL days in Tahiti, Moorea, and Bora Bora. To say it was paradise wouldn't do it justice.
