The Final Judgement

(Matthew 25: 31-46)

Jesus Christ will not be presented as a helpless child in a lonely place suitable for animals.

But now after His triumph when He conquered all odds as a human being, He is the supreme Lord of all human race.

God gave Jesus Christ as Son of Man the fullness of authority over all mankind.

The mankind that He had purchased with His own human life and blood on the cross.

Because Christ is completely and perfectly pure, holy, obedience to the end, God gave Him full power and authority to be our Lord and King.

He would come with the angels surrounding Him to fulfill His command.

Jesus sent forth His angels and Spirit to do the final task of redemption and salvation.

He would separate the sheep from the goat. What is the different between this two categories of animals?

They had different character, speak different language by the sound that they made.

Although they may eat the same food. What does all this mean?

God through Jesus Christ would separate what is His and what are not His would be thrown away from His presence.

Just like the sheep and goat eats the same food, so too children of the devil eat what is reserved for God's Children while on earth.

Sheep represents God's Children. Goat represents the devil's instrument, agents, slaves and children and wolves would represent the devil.

Like huge mustard tree providing shelter to birds. Like wheat among the weed. God love was meant for God's Children, but because the children of darkness lived among us, they too received what is reserved for the 'sheep'.

"I was hungry and you feed me!"

Where was Jesus in the world around us?

Those on earth who are materially poor and hungry.

Those on earth who are spiritually weak and poor.

They needed spiritual food of which comes from the Word of God.

"I was a stranger and you received me in your house!"

Where was Jesus?

They might be just a foreigners from other poor countries who came to seek refuge and material need.

They were also without a place to stay. They had no one to turn to. If we allow them to come into our lives and share our material, joy and peace, we would be doing this to Jesus.

This also concern spiritual stranger whom the world condemned and rejected. Also those who are stranger to the Christian way of life and we are suppose to patiently teach them God's way.

"Naked and you clothed me!"

Who were the naked?

This include the physically poor, weak, helpless etc. Needy people, who were short of clothing, medical care, rejected by family and society.

We would be doing this to Jesus, if we give them a share of what we had.

Spiritually naked can be those who had no spiritual 'garment' to wear.

They were poor spiritually. If we clothed them with the garment of God, we would be doing this to Jesus.

This garment of God is holiness and all goodness.

This garment we could not produce or sew but we just contribute to distributing them.

This garment comes from God alone, the sole owner and producer of these precious heavenly clothing or the 'Heavenly wedding gown'.

"I was sick and you took care of me!"

Who were the sick here?

They included physically sick, weak, needy, handicap, etc, who needed special care and attention.

This also include those spiritually sick.

Those whose souls are weak, helpless and in danger of dropping into hell. They needed God's saving help.

God would make us His instrument to save them, by bringing them back to the right track.

By teaching and bringing them to church or closer to God. Gently and patiently guarding them.

"In prison and you visited me!"

This also includes bondage of physical, mental and spiritual nature.

Physical bondage includes those in prison, solitary confinement, the aged who was lonely at home and in the old folk's home.

The sick people with restricted movement.

Those under mental bondage of depression and rejected.

Spiritual bondage included those who are imprisonment by the evil spirit, causing them not being able to function freely as children of God.

If we are called to be the instrument to set them free from mental, physical, emotional or spiritual imprisonment, we indeed had 'visited' Jesus.

The righteous people were humble and acknowledged that all good works is in God, with God and through God. Therefore all glory, praise and honor belong solely to Him. We joined in the shout of joy and victory.

For we rejoice because God had anointed us to participate in His work by being His 'Hands', 'Feet', 'Mouth', His strength, etc.

As servant and instrument of His love and goodness, we shall claim no credit.

Whereas the wicked are too proud and blind to be able to see and to serve God.

They would not be bother about the welfare of others. They are selfish and self-centered. Selfishness is taking from others what does not belong to us, whereas self-centered people are people of justice but not enough to love.

But God demanded selflessness, in order to possess the Kingdom of God to the fullness. The reward of victory of which Christ as Man received from God had been fully felt by Him. It is for us to share in this victory when we share in His ways of selflessness. Christ told us to deny ourselves and carry our own crosses so as to be true disciples of His. We would be truly Christian if we are true disciples of His. Jesus never intended that we felt short of God's full glory after we died a physical death or after the Final Judgement. God intended that joined together in an inseparable bond we shall inherit what Christ had inherited from His Father.

Finally after the Final Judgement is over, Jesus the Son of Man as Bride Groom, shall joined with His Bride, the fully purified Church, together like a wedding couple, we shall meet the Father. After all necessary purification, redemption and salvation is over, Jesus shall pass all His power and authority as Son of Man, of which God had given Him back. From that 'day' on God shall be all in all.

In the Son of Man, through Him and with Him, all mankind is truly one with the Divine Nature of Jesus as Son of God. Jesus the Son of Man, Jesus the Son of God is also One with the Father and the Holy Spirit. Therefore united with Jesus as Son of Man, then united with Jesus as Son of God, we are therefore truly One with God.

Praise the Lord. Amen.
