The World's Hatred. (John 15:18-27)

If the world hates you, just remember that it has hated me first.

If you belonged to the world, then the world would love you as its own.

But I chose you from this world, and you do not belong to it; that is why the world hates you.

Jesus said these words to His Disciples, to foretell the cost they would have to pay for their missions, as His future Apostles. They would be the manifestation of the presence of Christ in this world, after He ascended to the Father. Jesus promised that they would not be left orphan, because when He ascended to the Father, together they would send forth their Holy Spirit, to the Apostles. Heaven and earth, in fact had waited for this moment of victory, when Christ finally conquered death, brought about because of the direct effect of sin, in the world and our lives, through His own death and resurrection. Heaven rejoiced as Christ return home to heaven, joined together in His human body, spirit and soul, that God had glorified as the prize for His obedient and love to the will of God.

That triumph was paid, with a heavy price of which He was greatly humiliated, without any words of retaliation. Like a young, humble, pure and unblemished lamb, that was led, into the slaughter house.

Therefore, Jesus warned, His Disciples, that a similar fate awaits them all, if they wanted to be true followers. Christ Jesus deny His human life, together with its pleasure and material richness, and instead, embraced the cross, in order to await the 'crown' from the Father.

We, too would have to experience the cruelty, humiliation and expect similar fate, if the situation comes along. For through embracing the cross as Christ did, a crown of glory awaits for us all.

To detach ourselves from the crooked, winding and hilly ways of the world. To live a life, set apart from the world, consecrated for the glory of the Lord.

This is a harsh and cruel life of which most of us would reject, as easy as 'sweeping the dust, off our tables'. Yet, even though we tried to be irresponsible, by sweeping the dust from our tables, heaven is still a place of taking back what we had tried to sweep from this table, the works that God gives us. This table is our lives, obligations and services, to God, or the world, flesh and the Devil. We tend to be irresponsibility by putting on our tables, the work the world burdened us and to reject the works that God put on our shoulders.

By doing what Christ had done, the world, in one hand ensnared us, but yet on the other hand treasured us. That was what happened, to many vocations to holy lives, which includes laity, was pushed aside. Parents, tend to give very little support to these vocations. By giving to God, they felt, they would lose materially, yet they prayed for more vocations.

If only they could see, with their eyes opened, of the great reward, that awaited them, if they offered up to the Supreme and Eternal God, who created everything, seen and unseen, including the power and systems that rules the physical and spiritual worlds. By surrendering to God, their loved ones, who were quality children, they indeed, were blessed, for all eternity. Their cries and prayers will be among the first to be entertained, like Peter's mother-in-law.

They would have done great deeds to their ancestors, who were then in God's hands and mercies. By these pleasing offerings, their off-springs, would receive great blessing and grace from God. God would in His own ways compensate, their dependents, may they be their parents, whom they were obliged to care and love, in the most amazing ways.

Although the world hates, all those set apart to be Jesus' hired shepherds, God would continued to console them and filled their hearts and lives with immersed fire and heat of joy and hope. For we do the walking, Christ shall do the planning.

The world here means, the spirit of impurity, that had brought and carried down to us through, the sin of Adam and Eve.

In the beginning our human spirits, wills and desires, were pure and holy. They lived in harmony, co-operation and unity with the Will and Life of God. Their whole beings worked towards fulfilling God's will and plan. They fully submitted to God and worshiped Him, with their whole hearts, souls and minds.

Then, they failed to pass, this holiness, purity and perfection, to their off-spring, when their true worship, of the One True God, became short-lived. They could not stand firmly to resist the Devil, but instead invited them into God's territory reserved for all creatures of God. The Devils were thieves and robbers. They lured and tricked the disobedient Children of God, into allowing them inside God's Gift of Paradise. They were like hungry wolves, who were starved, because God had rejected them. By this rejection and complete separation from God, they were death and without spiritual food. They were hungry and would devour any food that God, specially reserved for His Children. The food, that they wanted to consume, was situated in the hearts of Adam and Eve. They wanted to steal, their ways into the treasure of God. By entering their hearts, they sucked the life of God, inside the souls. They cannot receive continuous flow of God's Spirit and love, but inside the souls, of Adam and Eve, including all human being, was a reservoir, whereby the Life of God, was stored. Once we allow, the Devil into our lives, they sucked off God's Life, that still exists in our souls. Once the Devil enters, God had to withdraw, His own Life and Spirit, which led to Spiritual death. This is a situation, whereby God shall shed tears of agony to see, how souls, willingly allow themselves to be killed by the Devil.

We were just reckless and indifferent, as the Devil feasted in our hearts. God is the one who, waited for us to open up to Him, in sorrow and tear. He would come, like an enforcement officer, to take back, what belongs to Him.

In this bondage and slavery, our hearts, minds and spirits, if allowed to express themselves, would come out with angry, prideful, envious, greedy, lustful, fearful and anxious words, and slothful attitudes, inward out. In God's sight we were brownish and darkish souls and spirit. The souls, in this bondage and slavery were imprisoned, inside squeezed tiny cells, initially white, would later turn dark, like the moon, without the light of the sun. These souls would soon be suffocated without breath of God. The Life of God is just like the air we physical breath into our lungs. The soul need, the Holy Spirit, symbolized by the Living water.

On the other hand, if the pure human nature, was allowed to express itself, it would counteracts and furious about the above attitudes, and sins. The door of their hearts was closed and this pure human nature would wage a fierce war or battle, to see that the souls, receive, what it longed for. They would try to crack open, with the Power of Freewill, which was a tool, that God gave to each one of us to open up our hearts to God. In their struggle to be set free and detached, themselves from the evil and sinful nature in them, God would work from the outside. If we could not produce our hearts' key to God and pleaded God to open from the outside, He had every power to do so, for truly God holds the 'master-key', of which He used in rare situation. The pleads and cries of the saints of God in heaven and those on their smooth journeys toward sainthood, on earth and purgatory, in their prayers for others would move God's Heart, so produce these miracles.

The evil and sinful spirit, would fight all odd, in order to erase, whatever goodness that God had put into us.

This impure spirit, had found company and at home with the creatures of God. Man and Devil had made a pact, to kill Jesus and His Light, that shone, shines and will always shine on earth, till the end of time. They would try to spread darkness to God's territory, yet they had never succeeded before. They could, only succeed in the neutral zone, that is the area of Discernment. This area is between heaven and hell. This area is a war zone. If we tried to get away from God to this territory, we are bound to be killed. If we were death, they would not try to bother us, but if we only suffered injuries, and any signs of life in us, would provoke the Devil into alertness. They would put all effort to bring us down and paralyzed us, spiritually. Yet, they could not invade the territory reserved for God, whether be His property or zones of heaven. If we tried to get to Jesus, with our whole hearts, minds and souls, they gave way. If we raised up our 'hands' to the tireless hands of God that tried to save us, He would never resist us. With eagle's wings, God would carry us safely to His 'Home'.

Many Christians failed to truly find the Light and lived by the Light. They were fearful, that the Devil would be awakened and harmed them. This is only the deceit of the Devil. For they cannot touch, what more to harm, God's properties. But if we had not made a clear and firm decision, we might be in danger, but if we prayed for strength, God will never resist us. For God is full of mercy and compassion. That was, is and will for all eternity, His very nature, of which, He would try to form, in each one of us.

Remember what I told you: 'No slave is greater than his master.'

If they persecuted me, they will persecute you too; if they obeyed my teaching, they will obey yours too.

Along the journeys of life, we can find, God's callings. There would be people who come to us, because the Spirit of God had prompted them, of which they hope to entertain and seek. They would come to us, and our mouths open, like sweet smelling perfumes, flows out and filled the hearts and lives of those who were opened to God. There are others, who come to test our faith, but found out that, the Instruments of God are dumb, without even a word to say. There are other lukewarm recipients, who feared to be driven away from this world, by the words of the Spirit, that flows, through us. These people might had tried to seek God, but to their own choice of god. They refused to be driven off their feet, of which they continued to check upon. They would feel the heat and presence of God and their faces flush, when the Spirit of God communicates with them, but later shake off this great happening. They tried to find God, but when they did, they refused God and the manifestation of His mysteries.

If they truly love God, they would love those who bear the light of Christ. Yet we must not be deceived, by sin that we, can be God. God is represented as the Sun, and we the moons. The moons, had no light of its own, but receive light from the sun. Like the clothing of saints, 'dressed like the sun', symbolizing the Holy Spirit, as attire for their spiritual bodies, that shone through their hearts, to the whole bodies, into the zone, that they stood.

In order to experience the mysteries of God, we must not be afraid to let God, be the captain of the ship. The ship, is our whole human body, together with the soul, spirits, its desires and wills. God is the only one who could drive the ship to its sure destination, or harbor, where the ship can truly takes its rest. If we, in fact had not labored for God, in our whole lives, there could not be any spiritual rest at the end of our earthly journeys. What we served, might just be for the world, our personal selfish and sinful desires. We might had built kingdoms or empires of material riches and fortunes, but not of the spiritual.

What we sacrifice in this world, for the good of the Kingdom of God, whether it concern the extension of God's work, in building the physical world, or that of the spiritual Kingdom of God, He would reward us with greater than what we had 'invested'.

Jesus said in the Gospel, "Not even a hair of yours will be lost!".

Why did Jesus use the word, 'slave' and 'master'?

Jesus Himself, as a human being, born of Mary, volunteered, to be the Servant of God's people, who were in fact, slave of sin and the Devil. They willingly and blindly allowed themselves to be enchained by the values and wisdom of the world, which were mixtures of our pure human nature with the Devil's nature. The conclusion is the wisdom of the world. Gaining wisdom of the world, in the eyes of God is in fact, a very selfish character of human being. They were considered 'lukewarm souls', of which God had great difficulty to categorize them. Neither heaven, nor hell, were their dwelling place of which were continuation of their earthly lives and their desires. Their sinful human nature cannily, tried to manipulate God and the Devil. They would take what suit them, and reject those that put weight on their human lives. They were, in fact fooled, by the Devil, when they thought that they can manipulate God or the Devil. For this evil essence in them was the consequence of the fall of Adam and Eve. They would not trust God, nor the Devil, but themselves, with all their human willed wisdom.

During the birth of Jesus Christ, the poor, uneducated, simple, country shepherd boys were very special in the eyes of God. God knew that they had no ability to trace the time and place of Jesus' coming, so God exceptionally came to them personally, through the angels.

The three 'wise men', who were intellectuals, had every ability to successfully discover, the time and location of the birth of Jesus, so God led them, using the stars.

There were others, who truly, tried to struggle to be holy and pleasing towards God, yet they failed to find God.

God is not the God of what the Scribes and Pharisees, described or made God to be. God's Words, are written in our hearts and put into our minds, by the presence of Jesus' triumphant spirit, in unity with God's Spirit. Jesus is truly alive, in our hearts, minds and souls. He had worked a plan with God, for everyone of us, so that we can share in His life. His life, together with its agony, suffering, humiliation, sorrow and finally its joy and victory, is going to be put into everyone of us, as a process of purification and diversion of what Adam and Eve had done. We all have to make a personal pledge and commitment to give our whole lives and beings to God, so that what we labored for in this world would bring about spiritual blessings.

To live a life, in union with the Spirit of God, requires us to detach ourselves from indulging in the material of this world and to seek first the Kingdom of God and put the rest in God's hands.

In this way, we would surely become humble, when we acknowledged that we were in fact nothing, but created, using material, of dust and dirt of the earth, but because of God's love for us, He had turned this dust and dirt, into gold and treasure of heaven. What a privilege! What a blessing! Of which none we deserved, if we struggle apart from God and His will.

But they will do all this to you because you are mine; for they do not know the one who sent me.

The Jewish people, had long prepared themselves, through Moses and God's laws, passed through Moses, for the coming of the Messiah. They had visions of the Messiah, as someone very powerful, both materially and spiritually. He would be someone who would give them great wealth, power and redeemed their pride, of which they had lost, through being under the rule, of the Roman Government. They need a savior, who would be pleasing, before the eyes of God and man. He would be greater than, King David, who through the power of God, had raised him, from a very humble beginning, to great glory and pride of the people.

They could not accept someone, like Jesus, who was materially poor, yet complacent with living in this manner. He even taught His disciples to live in humility and detachment from the material value and riches of this world, by His teaching of the Beatitudes.

In His teaching, He emphasized on being worldly poor, which would brings about spiritual riches. He advised, His disciples to store up treasures in heaven, where no one could take away from them, and completely safe.

In Jesus Christ, God expressed the essence of holiness and purity, where all Angels and Children of God, submit and love each other, with their whole hearts, souls and minds. This was indeed, the expression of Christ's love, which would by then, be fully grown, in each of the saint, in heaven. This would be their true character, as in the beginning, when God created Adam and Eve, flawless. By then the Devil, would be completely separated from paradise and the 'New Earth'. Mankind that had God's mark of ownership, that is the Holy Spirit, after the coming of Christ, would receive a glorified body, like that of Christ's body, as He rose from the death. All shall have the nature and spirit of Jesus Christ. With this Spirit, in them, they would be worthy to call God "Abba Father!", to the glory of God. With great joy in the heart of God, all Children, fully united with Jesus, would rush to God, from that moment forth, heaven would be their eternal home.

The Scribes and Pharisees, were indeed, too proud, to humble themselves to serve, God, in this humiliating person of Jesus Christ. They rather crucified Jesus, and let the sin fall on them and their descendents, then to bow down before this God. If they were indeed, ignorant, then the sin, would not have fall on them, but they were not. After Jesus died, many witnesses, believed that Jesus was the Son of God. By the words, He uttered, by the ways He suffered and died, how His attires were divided and the phenomena in nature, that heralded, His entry into the world of the death, whereby the Lamb of God, was finally offered up, through this form of Sacrifice, etc, were prophesies fulfilled. Yet the Jewish elite groups of religious leaders, refused to accept and believed.

Why, then Jesus said that they did not know the one who sent Him?

The Jewish people, obeyed the Commandments of God, passed to them through Moses. The religious leaders, had used the Ten Commandments as a platform, in order to gain power for themselves, of which the sole purpose of Moses as mediator, between God and His people, had not served its purpose. Moses revealed to the people a vague picture of who God truly was, but Christ, was the revelation of God, yet they cannot link them.

In the eyes of Caesar, their king, they were well respected. When Jesus came, rebelled against their rules and laws, they were furious and find ways and means to get rid of Him. By the presence of Jesus, the Jewish people began to split, even with members of the Sanhedrin. The High Priest, said that it is better for one man to die, then the whole Jewish people be made victims. The scenario of this civil battles, would caused disgrace to the proud and highly regarded, elite society of religious leaders. Putting Him off the scene, was the only solution, of which they were powerless to pass this death sentence.

They seized ways and means to charge Him guilty of breaking the Law of the country, of which the crime committed would amount to a death sentence. They accused Him, of self-proclaiming Himself as King of the Jews and causing riots, among the Jewish people, which would disrupt peace in the country. Pontius Pilate was still reluctant to pass the death sentence. He only allowed Him to be scourged and later, to set Him free. His wife cautioned him, against sentencing this innocence man to death, as foretold in her dream.

He had heard of Jesus' miracles and Powerful Words, which comes with Authority of God. He feared God, yet was too coward, to upset the Jewish people.

As the Jewish people had fearlessly and cruelly treated Jesus, so too they would do the same to the Apostles. As mere human beings, the Disciples hid themselves away from the crowd and the Jewish people, who had condemned Jesus to death. They feared for their own safety.

They would not have been guilty of sin if I had not come and spoken to them; as it is, they no longer have any excuse for their sin.

Sin existed, long before the Commandments of God were given, through Moses. But because there is no guidelines on wrong and right, did not mean that the people were sinless. When the Laws of God, through Moses had been fully drafted, the Jewish people would have a very clear view of their sins and what displeases God. By merely observing the Laws, brought down by Moses, without God, to further reveal the truth about the Laws, displeases the Lord. Liken to a father who had two son, of which one of them was very cold towards him, but because of the fear of being punished, so by this, he obeyed every tiny, detail and refined obligation of the laws. This was in fact, not necessary. For the Laws, passed through Moses were outlines and guide for a closer union with God. They were meant to bring the people of God to the right path, which would gradually led to the coming of Jesus, who was the role model, of a man, who had perfected God's Laws. But the people rejected Him. He was condemned as sinners, blasphemer and a humiliation to the prideful Jewish people.

The rituals, that they were supposed to observed, were ways which the first among the followers and those who drafted the refine rules and laws, that had its source from the Ten Commandments and the prophesies, that were written and passed orally, were meant to bring people to the final part of God's revelation, in Jesus Christ. They rejected Jesus who was the fulfillment of what they were supposed to sternly believe, without question.

The Ten Commandments were basically the laws of human justice, introduced to them in the era, when sins of idolatry, immorality and human lives were not treasure and respected. These laws of righteous living, were like crude sand, with stones, roots and unwanted material, all combined together, so a rough sieve would be used to filter it. Later on when the sand, had been separated from the roughage, it would be further filtered, with a fine filter, so that the best quality sand can be used to build the 'New Temple of Jerusalem'.

Jesus came, and perfected the Ten Commandments, by emphasizing on divine justice and love.

To love others, more than ourselves, as far as human law is concerned is really absurd, but Jesus was the first among all human being to express it, by His own death.

Sin is not moving along with the will of God, obstructing the plans and will of God for ourselves and others. Not acknowledging God as the Creator of everything seen and unseen. Underestimate His love and mercy. The essence of Jesus' Commandment is, "Love God with your whole hearts, minds and souls. Love your neighbors as you love yourselves", perfected the Ten Commandments. The teaching on the Mount or the Beatitudes, which were rules, for the modification of saints. Jesus also said, "Deny yourselves, take up your cross and follow me!".

The whole human life of Jesus was a journey for us to follow. He was, is and will always be, a living role model of a perfect human being. God's Light penetrated the human Jesus, like a transparent glass of a lamp. In Him, there was never any obstacle. By this, God was able to powerfully manifest, His power and authority, through human Jesus.

During the time, when Abraham was going to sacrifice His son, Isaac, a ram took his place instead. Jesus was the ram, came to fulfil, what had passed, long time ago. The whole human race, ought to perished in the flame of the fire of the sacrifice, yet The Victim, was God Himself, taking the figure of a man, Jesus Christ.

Jesus was the only person who was going to purify them. His blood was necessary to seal the New and Everlasting Covenant, between Jesus, united with all Mankind, and God. Jesus was, is and will always be mankind's representative in heaven. He had always spoken in our favor. He pleaded with God to release us from the bondage and slavery of sin and the Devil. Mankind had turned away from God, irrespective of how God, tried to bring them back. Jesus pleaded with God, to be incarnated into a Man, so to be their servant, guide and leader, to bring them back to the right path. Jesus was rejected, especially by the Jewish authorities, yet that was the way Jesus was going to be handed into the hands of 'Sinners', or the gentile governor, and his soldiers, to be persecuted, and then killed, on the cross. It was all predicted long ago, before this really took place, yet they were complacent to be blinded, first by their religious leaders, then they themselves as a whole, did what their leaders, taught them.

The guiltier party, were not the ordinary Jewish people, or the Roman Governor, but the Jewish authority, who were great sinners. They feared that their positions, as leaders of the community of Jewish people, would be jeopardize, because many of their people had listened and turned to Jesus, for healing and had also became Jesus' followers.

The Passover feast, that they sternly and solemnly observed, was pointing to Jesus, the Lamb of God, yet they were too blind to see. They still observed the Feast, even after the Real Lamb of God was offered up to God. They indeed displease the Lord.

Whoever hates me hates my Father also.

These were really strong Words of Jesus, revealing and claiming Himself to be God. Jesus was God, incarnated into a pure human flesh, derived from, our Blessed Mother Mary.

Whoever hated Jesus, who was the revelation of God, in a vulnerable state of being, did and does, this to God Himself.

He could had manifested His Authority and Power of God, in order to bring about fear and submission in the hearts and minds of the whole world, yet that was never His will and intention. God willingly and patiently awaits our return 'Home' to Him. He never put pressure or force on them, but He revealed and enlightened.

They would not have been guilty of sin if I had not done among them the things that no one else did; as it is, they have seen what I did, and they hate both me and my Father.

Not only did Jesus teach the Chosen People of God, but He manifested in His actions and power to forgives sin. They knew fully well that no one had authority to forgive sin, but God, yet they were too proud to submit to Jesus whom they see as the outcast of the Jewish people. He was not worthy of receiving the status of a Chosen Race. Yet He was powerful and full of God's Authority.

Since all that were supposed to be revealed, in order to fully enlighten them were done, they cannot claim to be ignorant.

Since they hated Jesus, there was really no use to pretend that they love and worship God. The Ten Commandments were refined and the contends fully revealed and enlightened by Jesus Christ, by His words and actions, the Jewish people, as at Judgement Day cannot claimed ignorant. The Day of Jesus Death, was in fact a great sorrow for Abraham and his descendents, who had struggled and prayed hard, for their transformation, but they failed him and God.

As the veil in the Temple of Jerusalem, the center of God's presence and throne on earth was torn, from top to bottom, all people of God irrespective of nations, would be welcome to join in the worship of God, and be citizens of heaven, on earth.

This, however, was bound to happen so that what is written in their Law may come true: 'They hated me for no reason at all.'

They ought to have loved, welcomed and served Jesus, in His Divine Nature as God. He was God, incarnated in our world, first for the Jewish people, then the whole world. Jesus was the completion of what they had sternly observed in their rituals. Physical actions, signs, words and matters used, needed to bring about a correct disposition of our hearts, for the Holy Spirit to carry grace into our lives. If what we sternly observed and believed, were manifested, made presence or answered, are we going to be like the proud Jewish people, who carefully planted the plant of 'hope', yet when hope was fulfilled, they rejected. Just like they rejected and chopped down the tree, when it bored fruit, not of their choice!

Our prayers were answered, but when they were not what we expected, are we going to do what the Jewish people did?

They hated Jesus, because He was not what they expected Him to be.

The Helper will come--the Spirit, who reveals the truth about God and who comes from the Father. I will send him to you from the Father, and he will speak about me.

And you, too will speak about me, because you have been with me from the very beginning.

The Holy Spirit, is the Spirit of Jesus Christ, after His Victory, which is the unity of His whole human nature and being, in oneness with the Spirit of the Father. They would come to us in a very powerful manners and give us plenty of gifts in order to bring about the completion of what Christ had started.

All of us are obliged to serve the world, through being consecrated by God's Spirit. God is the Divine Providence, of which He provides for all that He brought and brings into existence. God freely calls us to participate to be His Instruments, in various fields and areas, not according to the ways of the world, but God.

We are all obliged to fulfil our roles, that God had instilled into our souls, before He brought us into the world, to be loved and cared for by our parents.

That role was to bring, the 'little ones', may they be spiritual, mental or physical poor, to God. We are all call to be evangelizer, by bringing the values of the Gospel to life in our lives and the lives of others.

Our prayers, need to be utter in our hearts, minds and joined with our human spirits, to be one with God's Spirit, to fulfill His will, not ours.

This is the prayer of the saint, on earth, purgatory and heaven. Their pleads and prayers would be answer, in unity with the prayers of Jesus Christ.

The Holy Spirit reveals to us the inner depth of God's being and will. Only through the enlightenment of the Holy Spirit, can we truly know the essence of God's Human Heart, or the Sacred Heart of Jesus, which is essential, for all Christians, as we are all going to focus on Him. Only through this clear view of our hope, of which the Sacred Heart of Jesus is dying to fulfill in each one of us, we can all unite, and reach our sure destination.

Praise the Lord. Amen.
