The Seven Capital Sins

These are sins of the flesh.

These required the strength of God to overcome.

These involved spiritual warfare.

These were the sins that attacked us directly after the fall of Adam and Eve.

These were the seeds of many more sins, if they are allowed to grow. If they matured would harvest deathly sins.

Mortal sins brought about spiritual death and separation from God.

In contrary eternal life is a state of which we live in union, peace and harmony with God. We looked at God as the only one, whom we are to please, concerning our relationship with others, world and our outlook on the material things of which God created.

These sins had found fertile grounds in the Scribes and Pharisees and those who have their attitudes and outlook in life.

Jesus considered them 'white-washed tomb' of which looks nice and beautiful from the outside, but a great contrast in the inside; ugly, smelly, infested with maggots, decomposed flesh, flies, etc.

Jesus directly spoke these; as sins of the flesh.

It all comes from the sinful hearts of Man of which none of us were spared.

When told to command on the cleansing and eating of food offered up to idols; Jesus enlightened them that, what comes out of the mouth is much more evil and sinful than what enters the mouth.

What enters the mouth is food and the residue would be excreted out of our bodies.

But what comes out of the mouth is the reflection of the disposition of the hearts.

If our hearts were filled with malice: words of evil would be a murder weapon against our neighbors.

Some words might discourage people.

Some words even paralyzed people's mind.

Words which slanders, selfish and destructive gossiping; are evils that come out of the mouth, because of the presence of evil, inside of us.

In our enslavement, we need to cry out to God to set us free, by asking and inviting God, into our hearts to perform His works of deliverance, purification and healing.

Deliverance here means: setting ourselves free from the attachments and entanglements, which sins had brought us into.

Purification means: the aftermath of deliverance, of which stains and effects of sins, still affects us, Jesus enters and cleanse us of the sins, by the power of His blood. Likened to the 'house' that had been infested with deathly virus: after sweeping, scabbing and washing off all the rubbish, dirt and redundant materials, disinfectants would be used, so that the virus would be killed.

Healing means restoration into the state of which God meant our hearts to be. Like a 'house' that had been restored to its perfection needed to serve its purpose.

God dwells personally in our hearts, thus we need to allow God to be the one who prepares that precious place, so that He would be able to stay harmoniously and at peace with our spirits, souls and bodies; by our obedient and submission to Him.

Sins of the flesh are sins that had dragged most souls to hell, as revealed at 'Fatima', by our Blessed Mother Mary.

For these sins attack the hearts: the dwelling place of God and the souls. By depriving the souls of God and His love, leads us to live our lives in union with God's enemies, no other than the Devil.

Most of us do not realize the effect of indulging our sinful bodies with pleasures of human lives, which does not have its source from God, but the Devil. God wants us to celebrate and be thankful for the Gifts of lives, but all appreciation and gratefulness, must be directed to God alone.

We need to explore in great detail; what the sins of the flesh truly means to all of us and individually.

Why is it called the sins against or of the flesh?

Our bodies, souls and spirits were supposed to bear the fullness of resemblance of God and finally revealed to us, in Jesus Christ. What or whichever attacks that purity and perfection were sins of the flesh.

What are the areas in our lives that still stood, hidden from the Light of Christ?

What are the areas that are the most remote, which we keep away from God?

Is there a place, where we used to hide, when God comes in?

Will we be presence, in the front door, to welcome Him, with a sincere and warm smile, as He enters?

Had the Devil condemned us, bringing us fear and unworthiness to welcome Jesus?

Jesus comes to see you, not an empty house, with evil children who infested the perfection of the house?

He comes to see you; not the Devil, his works and displays.

Therefore come out of the dark corner of our hearts and admit our incapability to care and love the 'house', as God the owner wanted us to.

Let Him, do His works of restoration and renovation, because He is the one who is going to share this house with us. We do not have any knowledge, what and how to renovate the house, which would fit His taste.

God needed plenty of space and He wanted to enter all rooms, in order to light up the whole house.

He needed to arrange the furniture in order of which had not been emphasized.

He needed to clean and mop the floor, windows, doors and table.

He needed to arrange the living room in order.

He needed to arrange the kitchen's cabinets, household utensils, fixtures and fittings in their appropriate places, so to serve its purpose.

He needed to arrange our beds, pillows, bedsheet, closets and clothing in order.

He needed to cleanse and purify the toilets that smelt; full of germs and bacteria.

After the cleaning, washing and mopping, He needed to paint the house with a new coat of His choice.

He needed to repair the roofing of the house.

Finally He needed to be allowed to go outside the compound and cut the outgrown grass, prunes and trims the plants and trees. Fertilized and water them.

He needed to clear the blocked drainage systems; inside and outside the house.

He needed to repair the fencing and gate of the house and apply a new coat of beautiful paint.

He needed to put up stronger fencing and gate, so that intruder may not easily enter and caused damage to those living insides.

The intruders are the Devil; who comes in to destroy, retard and paralyze the spirit, mind, soul and body of the house concerned.

The house's tenant is our bodies and its wills - the physical part.

The house is the soul.

The compound is the spirit of our human bodies.

The fencing and gate are the defense system; which God will reinforces and strengthens.

God would strengthen the tenant, not to simply allow anyone entry.

The tenant needed to think well of the property and its house.

The owner of the house is God.

The intruder wanted to take away the goods in the house.

Although they cannot take the whole house, as yet, but they had ability to remove all the assets; fixtures and fittings, beds, cabinets, tables and chairs, etc.

If allowed to freely enter, they would flush of everything, even the bulbs, pipes, etc.

By our indifferent to their attack, robbery and capture, the house became non-functional and empty.

The victim shall be the tenant, who has no chair, table and even necessities to dwell in that house.

The tenant here represents the flesh, which would have to bear with the consequence of our negligence.

Our flesh lived in cohesion with the soul and spirit. The body, soul and spirit of human being are bond together.

After the physical death of which are flesh had to return to the soil, they were form; but our souls and spirits are eternal elements, of which once bore the 'Image and likeness of God', are suppose to return to God, and awaits God to clothe us with a new incorruptible body, meant for heaven.

We must remember; we are created by God, for God and heaven is the only eternal home for us. When we arrived into this world, after the fall, the sinful flesh was amazed after seeing the beauty and treasures of the earth. Man were later entangled in their struggle to greedily acquired as much as possible, even to the extent of depriving others of their basic needs. They began to make their home in this world of which they were supposed to be on pilgrimage. They began to fear of departing from their accumulated nest of wealth. But the time will come of which they had to return to the home of which they came from, but if they were given eternity on earth, they would never refused. Lo! The door of death is finally opened. He had to abandon the toil of their heartfelt labor and return empty handed, as only the spiritual is allowed into the realm of the same. At the moment of death, their eyes were opened, to his regret, bewail and shock, they find themselves truly naked: without shelters, food, drink, clothing, consolation and refuge. They did not have any friends from God, but yes! The Devil and his slaves were all waiting for him. No amount of incense and comfort offered by those on earth, could calm their rage when they finally realized they were indeed, fooled by their sinful flesh, which was so used to consume the 'forbidden fruits', dragging the souls and spirits into the den of the Devil and hell. God will never reject any souls that still bore the 'Image and Likeness' of God, but the choice is ours to make.

Mary was perfect; for her body, soul and spirit, lived in harmony and cohesion with one to another.

Therefore she was raised up by the power of God to join all the angels and the saints in heaven, in her incorruptible body. After the fall of Adam and Eve, none of their descendents were able to attend perfection in their flesh. All were clothed in tainted clothing, which has to return to the tainted world for which it comes from. But Mary was the only one that had the perfection of Jesus Christ. For through the flesh of Mary, God took flesh and lived among us. Jesus as human being, together with her human mother, had perfect flesh, which proved that they were both new creations of God, different from the line of the fallen one.

We too could inherit, their incorruptible bodies, which were the highest reward of their perfection, through our baptism of rebirth in water and spirit.

Through the Holy Spirit, which sanctified and purified us, we are supposed to be on our journeys to sainthood and perfection, even in this sinful world.

We should not be over anxious about the Second Coming of Jesus. Predictions are useless and God would not bow to the time man predicted for Him. He was fully present in this world, together with His Kingdom, after the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. The Holy Spirit reinforced God's reign on earth, but how many are still blind to His Coming and presence. The Holy Spirit was, is and will be here to prepare Man, for the 'blowing of the Final Trumpet', when all material and creations which were visible to our naked and sinful eyes, would disappear, like the blinking of the eyes. When He came, the Second times, in His human forms, all those who had God's stamps of ownership, that is the Holy Spirit, in them would be saved. All attachment to the sinful world had to be removed, in click of a split second. This would bring about great shock to those who were alien to the Holy Spirit, activation in their lives.

The tenant shall bore full responsibility, if the house could not be saved.

Our souls would be victims of our sinful wills and desires, if they were too prideful to allow God to rule. In the contrary those who were humble before God, and acknowledged the fact that they could not possibly save their souls, apart from God; bring great benefit and reward for the souls.

The working of the Holy Spirit to most of us are; experienced as the unseen and unexplained force that drove or inspired us to be drawn to God and His Instruments.

In many and different circumstances, God was shown to us, as a loving, caring and powerful God, who was merciful and compassionate. When our expressed and those hidden prayers were answered in amazing manners, somehow awake, our spiritual senses to the authority, providence and presence of God in our lives, others, world and natures.

God as a Father, who loved and trained His Children to grow up, be responsible and strong, would allows trials and temptations to strengthen us. God not only protect us, by hiding us from the sight of the Devil and evils, but He wants us to stand in front, by giving us His power and authority, to resist and to drive the Devil from our sight.

The Devil is powerless, without man, giving it the power to interfere in our lives.

They cannot snatch us away from the 'hands' of God, without man struggling free, from God's gentle 'hands'. By struggling free from God, we would be enslaved by the Devil, who knew no limit. They are evil, malicious and greedy. Although they could not take possession of the souls, that still bears the 'image and likeness' of God, but they can deceive us, into allowing them to have a share in the administration of our lives. By inviting them as man's co-administrator, is like doing business in partnership with a crook and cheater. They invest in nothing, but expect profit from their share in business. They had nothing to lose, but everything to gain. Their intention was to cause anger and thus took revenge on God and His beloved Children.

Lost souls resulted, not because of God's rejection, but rather Man, who refused and shut off from God, stayed in the dark.

God continued to call us personally, by name, although we responded to His call, yet refused to come out. The Devil condemned us, reminding us of our sins, unworthiness and nakedness, yet Man was too foolish, not to trust in God, whom did not despair, even though we had sins and therefore naked. For God could sew clothes and cover up our shamefulness. We therefore must not underestimate the love and mercy of God. When He called out our names, we must come out in faith and trust in His Providence.

PRIDE

It was pride that caused Adam and Eve to doubt and disobeyed God.

They felt that God had hidden something precious from them.

By God's way, they could never be able to satisfy their eagerness and curiosity about what they thought as hidden treasures.

In fact, there was never anything precious that God refused to give them.

The Devil as depicted by a cunning serpent, whispered to the woman, 'Did God really tell you not to eat fruit from any tree in the garden?'

Here the Devil is trying to undermine the strict warning by God, not to consume the fruit from the tree in the middle of the Garden.

God had lavished them with different and delicious fruits from different types of trees but they must not consume the 'fruits from the tree that gives knowledge of what is good and what is bad'. Consumption from that tree would bring about spiritual death, in addition to physical death in due time.

'That's not true; you will not die. God said that because he knows that when you eat it, you will be like God and know what is good and what is bad'.

It seemed harmless to be able to have knowledge about good and bad. They could make their own decision, between following the good and the bad. They were convinced that they could make wise decision for themselves. Thus the warning of God, were taken lightly.

She was ignorant of the divine interpretation of what death meant. Surely after consumption of the fruits, she and her spouse did not die physically, but yes! Spiritually. The woman saw how beautiful the tree was and how good its fruit would be to eat, and she thought how wonderful it would be to become wise.

So she took some of the fruits and ate it.

From that fatal day forth, the once filial relationship, between Father and Children spiritually were severed.

Adam and Eve ought not to have been tempted to approach the tree, in the middle of the Garden. They ought to have obeyed God and stayed far away from that tree. Darkness indeed, had engulfed the minds and hearts of God's Children. They ought not to have revealed to the Devil the Words and commands of God. They ought to keep every Word as Sacred and Secret, before God's direct rival and enemy.

By the revelation of God's secret instruction, the Devil can easily, misinterpreted and misled them.

When their hearts and minds, had indulge freely with all the luxuries of lives, they relented. They experience the goodness and perfection of God, who is loving and merciful. To them: God's love was so great and the Devil's offers were so tempting and irresistible.

The words of the Devil, brought about a challenge in their lives. Spiritual warfare was raging in their hearts and minds. Darkness seemed to temporary overcame the Light at that instant. Pride reached the height of their head, as the Devil continued to repeat the irresistible offer. The tree was beautiful and the fruits look delicious and nice to eat. Why not! Yes, their failures to submit, trust and rely on God fully to provide, led them into accepting the instant offer of temporary goodness, but its fruit fatal and seeds would be freely scatter into the hearts and minds of their descendents.

This sin continued to find fertile soils to grow, in the flesh of Man. From that day forth, today and times to come, right till the Second Coming of Jesus, this sins would be made presence and real. The Devil not only offered to Adam and Eve, but all their descendents. None among them had overcame the allure of the Devil, not until God created a new human being, in the person of our Blessed Mother Mary, then from her came forth Jesus, the Messiah and anointed one of God.

Mary and Jesus, crush the malicious and evil plans and reigns of the Devil, on earth and especially on the hearts and minds of God's Children.

Let us ponder on the tree from the middle of the Garden of which its fruits look good and delicious.

How many of us called ourselves Christians, which means followers and disciples of Jesus?

Didn't Mary and Jesus crush the malicious plans of domination, by the Devil?

Aren't we the new descendents, springing from those of Mary and Jesus?

Why are we still like Adam and Eve, who accepted the offers of the Devil, in exchange for the status of being perfect children of God, dwelling in paradise?

How many times, had we failed, when trials of gentle chastisement from God comes along, of which were situations and moments of glory for us?

How many times had we failed to fully accept and acknowledge God as the sole Providence and loving Father, of which all gifts of spiritual and material were passed to us personally or through His Instruments?

How many time had we adhered to rituals and practices which did not have its source from God, rather from the spirits that were here to rob and steal from God, yet were so obedient and fearfully complied them?

How many times as parents, who were merely instruments of God, to nurture and care for God's treasures on earth, robbed and stole from God, by passing to them wisdom and knowledge that would benefit us materially?

How many times had employers, manipulated the weaknesses and silence of the helpless and voiceless employees, for their business and personal benefits, irrespective of the guilty conscience?

How many times had leaders in various organizations; be they spiritual or circular manipulated and exploited their power and domination over others for their personal glory and benefits?

How many times had teachers, both of circular and religious passed to their students deviated teaching?

How many times had we so called Instruments of God, not lived our lives according to the will of God?

The list goes on and on, affecting and undermining the obligation and sacredness of our duties in participation with God, the source of Providence, whether of the physical or spiritual.

How many times had our personal pride towards God, led us to struggle against submission, reliance and trust in Him?

Pride had caused us to be retarded spiritually, by refusing the Holy Spirit to sanctify, purify and transform us to whom Jesus is?

Pride towards God, had brought about the growth of our sins in our lives. Man became too great for God to dwell in.

God needs a humble, simple and submissive hearts, so us to be great and powerful inside.

Man hated the word 'simple and single minded', but that is the environment most conducive for the seeds of the Holy Spirit to grow.

God do not need a complicated mind, as He find that environment too crowded. Likened to the seed, sown by the farmer, that falls on thorn bushes.

God does not overburden us with too many roles to play, in the Kingdom of God. When He chooses and anoints us for a certain tasks; He would personally makes sure that we would have the ability to accomplish.

Many are called to be God's Servant, but only handfuls are chosen, thus anointed by the Holy Spirit.

Therefore it pays well indeed to be humble before God, so that we would be able to have a clear conviction of God's vocation for us.

Different groups of people, would have different gifts, so to co-ordinate God's work on earth. Not everyone is called for the same task, but diversifies. Therefore it does not serve God's purpose if we start condemning others who are different from us. Just like we all possess, different and unique talents and gifts, whether those good for the building of the spiritual Kingdom of God, or those for building up the physical world of which we lived. Those who were specially gifted with talents to build up the physical world must do their works with charitable hearts, which had its source from God. Pure charity derives from its source; that is God. Whereas, Man's preached charity, comes from the saturation of God works and Devil malice. This form of worldly version of charity does not please God, but rather enhanced our prideful hearts. By this they glorified themselves, rather than God. Since they had been paid in full, while on earth, they do not deserved to receive any reward in their spiritual account, which is food for the souls.

ANGER

Jesus was angry, when God's House was misused.

Jesus was angry, when people refused God's love.

Jesus was angry, when the people whom He loves, decided to live their lives, apart from the Truth, Way and rejected the Gifts and reward of eternal life.

All the anger that Jesus manifested was for the good of all God's Children.

Likened to good, wise and far-sighted parents, who loved their children, by showering them with quality time, adequate material needs, emphasizing on balance of spiritual, mental and emotional growth, inputs of positive values, highlighting of the important of seeking knowledge and exercising of wisdom, etc.

These were merely from a worldly point of view. Spiritual point of view; look from God's angle. After baptism, all of us who are called Christians, to be fruitful must live according to the way of Christ, through the presence of His Spirit, in unity with the Father's Spirit. With the Holy Spirit, working in our lives, we can have the essence of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Christ, God's mind and will. His Spirit does not put pressure or force on us to submit, comply or obey, but He would prompt our conscience and our human will, to yield to Him. If we are convinced that apart from God, we could do nothing, God comes in. When He comes and interact with our weakening human hearts and will; He strengthened them; giving us a new life, full of courage to overcome various challenges in lives. He would transform us into His Servants, Instruments or tools, so to renew the face of the earth. Renewing the face of the earth means; through the work of God's Spirit and victorious human spirit of Jesus, we shall work with Him, in partnership, to conquer evil in the world, our lives and souls.

Whatever spirits does not come from God, but rather from the world below, or hell, shall be reckoned as challenges to overcome.

Anger in Jesus was the expression of God's anger, of which human Jesus could not tolerate, but co-operated with God, to warn His beloved Children and chosen race, that indeed they had hurt God very much.

Jesus said, "Come to me, all of you who are tired from carrying heavy loads, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke and put it on you, and learn from me, because I am gentle and humble in spirit; and you will find rest. For the yoke I will give you is easy, and the load I will put on you is light." (Matthew 11:28-30)

These loads were the loads put on our shoulders, by the Devil, whom Man welcomed into their lives. Jesus asked us to willfully detach ourselves from being their slaves and turn to Him, who would give us, rest from those unnecessary burdens. Instead we ought to put the yoke of Christ onto our shoulders. A Yoke is a wooden bar put across the necks of two animals to hold them together and to plow. Jesus is inviting us to unite or couple with Him to transform our lives. For the yoke that Jesus is going to share with us shall be light, because He would be carrying the heavier one. Further more He is humble and gentle in spirit.

Therefore Jesus is indeed carrying the consequence of our sins, together. He is going to transform our harsh, prideful and careless ways of plowing the field, into the ways of Jesus. This proved to us that Jesus, even though untouchable, by human beings, but His hearts continued to arched and cried out in agony, because of our disobedience and sin.

His glorified human heart is continuously hurt and angry, when people turned away from Him.

He is not seeking glory for Himself, but for God. We are made to the Image and Likeness of God, of which Jesus and Mary had attained, through submission to God. Attain here does not mean personal efforts apart from God, instead in unity. They are the firsts of which all of us, who were baptized, would be rewarded with their perfection too, if we have their purity of hearts and wills.

God does not want any of His Children to be lost. Like the parable of the 'Lost Sheep'; when even one among the multitude of a hundred was lost, God through Jesus Christ, the Shepherd would go all out, to look for it, until He finds it. After that He would celebrate, because it had returned, so too God would go all out to look for His beloved Children, until He finds us. After recovery of the lost, He would celebrate.

Any beings, whether seen or unseen, who counteracted against His plan of recovering, He would be furious, although God is full of patient and gentleness. In the Old Testament, we discovered a different God, from the One explained and revealed by Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit, who worked in the Apostles.

God was furious with those who were not His Chosen people. He went all out as though took vengeance against them. The writer wrote, depicting God's revenge as though He was a terrorist.

But the center point in those written Scriptures was God's love was so great for His very own, that whoever tried to snatch His beloved Children from His reign, would be harshly dwelt with. With His harsh actions and words, human lives are at risk here. After all everything comes from God. Every life, seen and unseen has its source from God. By taking what are rightly His, so that their spiritual senses, would be awakened, is worth much more.

When a blind man approached Jesus for healing, Jesus said that He was blind, so that God's glory would be revealed. Blindness, by itself is the consequence of our sinful nature and flesh. Apart from sin, everything would be perfect and in harmony. Jesus restored his sight, thus revealing the power of God, over sins and the consequences of sin, that is sickness.

Therefore, if the anger of God is manifested; which might result in the lost of lives and property, so that many more, than the numbers that had lost their lives and property, would be saved.

The collapse of the tower of Babylon was one of the manifestations of God's fury, because of His deep love for those who were spiritually blind. Those people, who had died, because of the destruction of that tower, would have their souls partly purified by the suffering. After full purification, they would be welcome into the Kingdom of God. For them, there wasn't any regret, except deep remorse because of the stains of sins, which still torment their souls.

God's anger is a deep mystery, which most of us dared not explained, because it seemed to contradict the goodness of God.

What about our anger; was it from the 'station of our sinful nature or God's purity of nature, that still lived in us'?

Most of our angers are from the 'station' of our sinful nature, rather than our pure human nature or God's nature.

The 'station' of our sinful nature was empowered by the Devil, whereas the 'station' of the pure human nature, is empowered by God.

When the Devil's station was prick, simulation of anger rose, revealing the nature of the Devil in us.

When God's station was pricked, simulation of anger was manifested.

These two angers were different. One co-operated with the Devil, whereas the other with God.

When we yielded to the Devil, by shouting just like his shout, we indeed had pleased him.

Whereas, if we yielded to God, by voicing firmly our stand for divine and human justice, we had indeed pleases God.

Angers could also be kept covered up, likened to an infected wound that was not treated with medication, but was covered up. Soon the infection got from worse to worst, so are those who holds grudges, vengeance, anger and resentment in the hearts against others, without justifying them. Without justice there is no peace and love, or forgiveness. Jesus stood before God, right before He breathed His last, "Father! Forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing!" Jesus justified us, before God or the Father of human Jesus. With our huge and unredeemable debt, of which none among us could pay, atone or justified; Christ did this for us. Therefore, seeking God's forgiveness required us to forgive others, no matter how grave the sins against us are.

Thus the anger of the Devil, who is the steward and master of our sinful nature, would be overcame, when the power of God, that had empowered the pure human nature takes over. If we continued to let God wins in our lives, deliverance of the 'seeds, plants, trees, fruits or roots' of evil is possible. Deliverance or purification is a continuous process, because the Devil, his dark angels and instruments on earth, continue to sow seeds of weeds, soar grape's seeds, thorn seeds which crowd our hearts' soil and changing our hearts of flesh into those of stones, etc.

Deliverance and purification would only be completed, when we reached heaven. After death, the Devil could not sow any seed of evil, because there is no soil, for these to grow. This means that the Devil harshly, aggressive and extensively, lures and tempts the human hearts and flesh. Once these had returned to the soil, they could not tempt us anymore. For what remained were the spirits and the souls, which hunger and thirst for God, His love and mercy, but;

What we had spoilt, we must make right.

What we had been attached, we must detached.

What sins we had committed, must be justified, through Christ Jesus.

This is a journey of purgatory, after life on earth.

This may seemed easy to overcome, but it is a real struggle of the souls and the spirits, to cling on to the 'hold' of God's 'hands'.

LUST

Lust is the opposite of love.

Lust affects our lives in different areas.

Lust is a deep desire in the hearts, which comes from the fruits of our sinful human nature.

Lust is really evil.

In term of relationship, lust is the eagerness to satisfy, one's sinful desires, like manipulation of God's gift of sex; for pro-creation, meant only within the framework of the Institution of marriage.

Whatever form of sexual activities outside marriage is sinful and evil. The Devil destroyed the dignity of Man, by degrading them into beast-like characters. Man through yielding to the desires of their sinful natures, thus would tried to quench its desires, which were in fact impossible to be satisfied.

Man manipulated their bodies, which were supposed to be holy for pleasure.

Lust in terms of material, is greediness to its extreme.

It comes from the hearts of those who had made material assets their false gods, replacing, the one and only true God.

These people had enthroned Satan into their hearts and lives. Their lives were in fact the manifestation of the malice and evil of the Devil that enslaved them. Yet, even though they could set themselves free, if they cried out to God, but they were satisfied with these forms of lives.

Lust for power, which is a term used to describe people who selfishly struggle for personal glorification, without serving the purpose of what true leadership meant. With their influential and powerful position, which were supposed to be of service to others, who dominate, vote or select them into this position, but they exploited the opportunity, for selfish gain. These people feared to be ousted and would struggled to prevent any future attacks on their position.

For Jesus said that He is the only leader, which means those true and sincere leaders must imitate the leadership of Jesus Christ. He took His position, so to become their servant. Jesus once asked, who is greater? The one who sit at table, or the one who serve?

Their silenced answered made Jesus to revealed that, He who is Lord and Master, is the one who serve.

Therefore leaders and those in power are supposed to be the 'hand', 'heart' and 'mind' of God, as partaker in His Providence. God is the Divine Providence of the physical and spiritual, because both were His creation and had its source from God. Therefore rightly all of us must looked at Him as the only Father, Leader, Teacher, Lord and Master, for He loves and provides for us, through different channels, by consecrating people, who had the ability to provide as His Instruments.

Whatever goes contrary of God's natural and divine law, is a sin.

Lust for power is a channel, whereby the Devil stole what ought to be God's, for their selfish gain.

Instead of Man, consecrated as sharer of God's work of Providence, they began to swift that, into the Devil, by enthroning the Devil in place of God. Therefore in their positions, they could easily used, as tools to further confused people on the goodness of God. Whatever evil they did, Man seems to point fingers and questioned the goodness of God. These were in fact works of the Devil, in human being, acting as stations, of which they could easily operate, to spread deceits and malice. God came into time and space, in human flesh, so that we would be able to accept and relate to Him as one of us. So too the Devil could used human beings that would not fear God as their instruments and slaves to try to capture, their portion and share of God's goodness.

The Devil works in the hearts and minds, converting those slaves into what the world considered highly astute, smart or genius in business, tricks, gambling and etc.

They work in the sexual lives of Man, converting them into sexual objects, demeaning God's masterpieces and plans of which Man was supposed to be.

Continuously living a perverted and immoral life without turning back: the seeds of evil could easily grow and later produces fruits. Sex would later become a power, which draws others into the same traps. These are some of the tactics the Devil used, when they were invited into time and space. The seeds of these fruits; the Devil would further scatter, into other Man's hearts.

ENVY

Envy is an extreme form of jealousy of which we have no right over.

God said that He is a jealous God, but He had every right to be jealous, when what created and belongs to Him were taken away.

Marriage on earth is a covenant of self-giving. Both pledge to love the others as themselves. The wife's body is not hers, but his husband and vice versa.

Our relationship with God is bonded in an eternal covenant of which God was the first to give Himself to us, through the person of Jesus Christ. God expects us to do the same to Him too. In the Old Testament, circumcision was an outward sign of that covenant of which baptism belongs to the New Testament.

In baptism, we pledged to die to our sinful lives and live the lives of Christ. We made a covenant with God, through Jesus Christ. To give ourselves over to Him for transformation, as we had been proven a failure. Man since the fall, was unable to reverse what had been done wrong.

Envy is evil in nature.

This needed a very deep understanding of God as the Divine Providence. God provides the spiritual and material needs of every one of His creatures.

God provides us with parents, relatives, friends, spouse, children as co-providence of our growth and survivor, companionship and also sharing God's work, of nurturing the children, which God gave to us.

We need to be acknowledged that the source of all goodness comes from God alone.

If we are given excess, these were meant for others of which God intended to consecrate us to be His instruments to pass to those needy people.

No one in this world would be starve or have insufficient food or basic necessities, if all of us properly co-ordinate God's role as Providence.

Therefore there is no reason why we should even be jealous, what more envious of what others possesses. Every one of us had to give an account of what we had done to God's Gift to us, according to the proportion He had entrusted to us.

Envy is working effective in those who were being deceived by the Devil. When we figured out the expression of those who were envious, we could see the Devil at work in them. For the Devil would not be satisfied with whatever we give them, thus they tried to provoke us in fury, rage and anger, simulating the sinful nature into taking actions against those who possess, what God did not meant for us.

We all had our very own unique roles to play in order to be God's co-creators, co-workers, co-builders, co-inventors, co-rulers and so forth. Our talents are God's natural gifts to us to co-operate with Him to create and renew the material surface of the earth. Spiritual gifts were meant to build and renew the Kingdom of God on earth. God's generosities do not have its limit, unless it had destroyed God's beloved Children.

We need to be grateful and appreciate God's calling for us and exercise our unique roles with responsibility. There is no reason to hunger for the pastures from the other field of which others are being fed when our fields had plenty or excess of the same quality of pastures. It is only right and wise to be complacent with our calling of which God expects us to deliver, then to overlooked and despise the gifts of God to us. Likened to the man who thought that God was a mean God, who reap what He did not sow, so he hide and bury his gifts, but when judgement day comes, all of us shall be accountable for whatever gifts, whether those seemed insignificant or vice versa.

The expectation of God is 'more is given, the same is therefore expected from us'.

How then can we ever know the right role, which we are in fact working towards?

After deep contemplation in the forms of prayers and meditations; we need to seek God for the Gift of discernment, wisdom and courage, so that temptation, would not divert us away from those consecrated roles.

God would gives us every ability and tools to function efficiently in the roles that God Himself had given us. Our joy enormous, our weaknesses and trials; God shares with us, the hope and imminent reward, further spur us to fulfill our roles with great energy, power and zeal, that seemed unquenchable. We would hunger and thirst to do more and more, until we had exerted ourselves to its summit, for God.

GREED

Greed is about selfishly taking what does not belong to us. It deprives others of their rightful share of God's providence.

Since it is taking what we do not deserved or rightly possesses, it is covetous in nature.

Those who invited and provide a home for this spirit to live in their lives, commit idolatry, stealing and desiring or coveting others property or goods.

These were against two of the Ten Commandments of God, beside the most serious one, that is sins of idolatry.

Sins of idolatry is not only about objects of which Man worshipped as god, but anything seen or unseen, which had made their home in our hearts and lives, depriving God of the throne of our hearts. Since God is the Divine Providence, all things seen or unseen, so as to be accepted and allowed to make a home in our lives must come from God.

Work is a gift from God, do not allow work or the gift of God to become the master of our lives. Works had become our master, if our lives that we lived become a slave instead of us be the master of what we do.

Relationships and all forms of healthy friendship ought to be considered as gifts from God, but none of those should degrade us into their slaves.

We must not rule God as equal to His Gifts. Yes! We must treasure parents, spouse, children, relatives, and friends, materials as God's gift but to consider them as equal is indeed sinful. If these gifts had retard our relationship with God, they although once was precious would had been tarnished and taken over by sins and the Devil. Whatever things drive us away from the love and mercy of God, are considered desecrated, therefore we needed to review those gifts, so to put them into the rightful order of priority in our lives.

ANXIETY

It is uncertainty about tomorrow or time to come, concerning what our future holds for us.

These should be God's worry, not ours.

Why should we doubt God who had fullness of power and ability to fulfill His own roles and words?

All these anxieties; we rest in the will and hands of God.

Jesus knew that Man are full of worry about tomorrow and what more the uncertainty in the future!

He told us not to worry, but be like the birds in the air; flapped their wings, focus their concentration right and finally sharp and accurate targets would enable them to acquire their daily food.

The lilies in the field too; would stretch out its roots, opened up its leaves so to absorb nourishment from the sun, water and nutrients from the soils. These were sufficient, of which even King Solomon was not as wise. God takes care of us, so much more than birds, lilies or the sparrows. Why should we worry?

Anxiety is underestimating God's authority and power over His own creation. By itself, state of anxiety, belongs to pagan and godless people, not God's Children, who were given hope of eternal life, glory and heaven.

Parents are worry about their children and their future, why?

As long as we had function according to the will of God, by introducing or enhancing the working and presence of God in their lives and provision of basic necessities; the rest shall lies in God's hands.

We need not be over-possessive or protective of them, as God is the owner of them all.

Teachers worry about their students, why?

As long as we had exert ourselves to our limit in personally filling up the storage of knowledge, and the ability to love the students entrusted to us, as though from God, not merely treating the profession as a source of income, had in fact done God's will, thus there is nothing to worry about. God is personally responsible for His own creation, of which the students entrusted to us are no exception.

Anxiety is opposed to hope. It led to fear of facing challenges in life, by keeping their boats on the shore of the sea. They fear the storms and the waves, which might drive the boat hay wire.

Once when Jesus and the disciples were crossing the lake, a storm hid the boat, almost sinking it, whereas Jesus was soundly asleep, not disturbed by this distress.

The disciples were smart enough to wake Jesus up and in no time the scenario was peaceful again. Therefore why should we worry, when Jesus is in our lives?

Many Christians who had doubted in God's generosity and providence had turned to consulting the death or dark angels, channeling through mediums, palmistry, and horoscope predictors, etc.

Betting heavily and helplessly in any gambling activities are signs of anxiety, greed and lust for instance riches.

Most of those who had become slave to these activities had indeed doubted in God's generosity and ability to provide.

By their doubt in the Almighty God, they turned to other channels for wealth, power and flame, thus blindly sold their souls in exchange for; what are supposed to be gifts from God.

When our lives are lived in darkness, far apart from God; this is hell, in the company of the Devil.

SLOTH

Sloth is laziness to its extreme. Sloth caused us to be selfish, in term of distribution of what are supposed to be our responsibility. Instead of working out the part that are ours, we pushed them aside; which would either remain redundant or others might had to fill in the gap, thus doing our works, in addition to theirs.

In the house, school, offices, production plants, factories, shops, along the streets, etc all of us had our roles to play, so that when we 'walked through our journeys, the footprints that we left behind, others do not have to clean'.

We might be very responsible, as far as corporal works are concerned, yet the opposite might happen to the spiritual arena.

Not only must we balance both of them, but also emphasis to be given to the spiritual. We needed to work, in unity and oneness with God as co-servants to those whom He wants us to reach out to. We would not demand for our pay, right now, but we asked God to save them for us, when we really needed them.

If we labored, worked and focusing lives through worldly angle, we would be in despair, hopeless and lost, to discover our own mortality, limitation and our success were indeed failures in the sight of God. When we were crowned with the title of 'having lived our lives to the fullness', when we thought we could enter the 'door' of heaven, but were disappointed, to be chased away.

No one shall be able to blame God that they are not being called to work in the vineyard of the Lord. We must search our hearts and not keep God waiting, as He personally comes to give us the conviction and courage, but we blindly shut off our spiritual senses, because of the high price of which we must pay. It would means investing our whole hearts, souls, minds and even every measure of strength in this project that yield imminent unexpected reward. That is eternal life in union with God, even while in this world, we are to experience the coming of God's Kingdom into our lives.

The Sun is shinning brightly, but the people of the earth are still shivering in cold, why?

Man refused to plug up their courage and slowly move towards the light and heat of the sun and thus be spiritual nourished. In contrary, plants and trees would rejoice as the sun shone on them. Even if Man tried to hide the plants in sheds, yet at the sensation of light, they were hasty to move toward it.

It was only natural for Adam and Eve to come in openness and one with God. God do not have to call out their names, but they enjoyed, loved and looked forward with eagerness to the closeness and intimacy of God, likened to a lover in love. This was the scenario of paradise, before the fall.

But after the fall, Man had demeaned themselves and status as God creation and masterpiece, of which Jesus finally come to save. High and painful were the price of redemption and atonement, for the 'seemed insignificant wrong'. Adam and Eve had taken God's Words, which were the cry and plead of His Heart, lightly and granted. Their fallen descendents look just like their parents, even to this very day. They still shy away from God, giving the reason that they were naked, but God shall not judge or humiliate us, for He had sown clothing for them and us too.

God will, after the fall clothes each of us with the abilities and various gifts, so that we can come close to Him.

Our lives we could surrender, in applauding our souls, bodies, the Devil or God. By inviting different forms of spirits into our lives, mass up the whole 'house', instead of building it up. For if we invite the spirit of the world, they wants us to renovate our house for their comfortable dwelling, so were the spirits of the flesh, which consisted of armies of spirits, of which seven capital sins were mentioned, because they were the highlighted and most desirous 'Forbidden Fruits' that stood well sighted and clear, 'in the middle of the Garden'. These spirits wanted us to renovate our 'house' for their comfortable dwelling too. These sins attack us personally. Its main purpose was to retard and finally destroy the souls, so that they had the death spiritual part of the flesh, as their stations to work out their plans of the destruction of as many souls as possible. These are the Devil's modus of operation and main concentration of their deathly energy to rob, steal and to kill, beside working out plans to destroy as much as possible the material creation of God, like land, river, sea, ocean, sky and air. The forces of evil were envious of God's providence of goodness, thus tried to desecrate human being to be their partakers to reverse. God was indeed working hard, but failed because Man sinned and joined with the forces of darkness to destroy their own peaceful and nice dwelling place. Careless about the beauty and purity of the river, sea and ocean. Land that people lived were not tended and the gifts of lives, taken for granted. If we focus all our attention and surrender our lives to God, we not only share in His works to build up the world, but a share of eternal life, personally.

How could this be done?

We need to receive the empowerment and gifts of the Holy Spirit. These are works of God, of which human spirits are incapable of performing.

God will showers each of us unique and precious gift of which might be different from the others. Blindly condemning different gifts of God to others, were in fact demeaning God's wisdom and power.

If God come in deep contact with our lives and souls, we would be able to have clear knowledge about our sins, because we are in fact standing beside God, who is pure and holy. Holiness and purity is God's gift and presence in our lives. No one in the right disposition of minds and hearts, dared to claim holiness as theirs, as all addressed towards the glory of God, in Man.

Sanctification, transformation, cleansing and purification does not merely start, after we died, rather while in this world, as we welcome the Holy Spirit as the Teacher and Leader of the whole project of walking towards the holiness of God, through Jesus Christ, in the working of the Holy Spirit.

We need not be over-anxious and fear if we are not 'rats', which feared the daylight.

Jesus Second Coming is imminent and soon. That is why the disciples were told that He would even come, during their times, but did not physically as glorified human Jesus. He came into the world and claimed back what once belongs to Him. He was here ever since the formation of the Church at Pentecost.

We are on the journeys and being transformed into the likeness of Jesus Christ, so that when the world ends; Jesus Second Coming would come in reality; we would not experience spiritual stroke. Which would cripple our senses, in great agony of shame, regret: reflecting the deep remorse for the wrong we had done to God and His servants on earth.

The whole process of sanctification and purification, into the likeness of Christ Jesus is a spiritual warfare, between God versus the Devil, together with those who willfully followed them as legions of dark angels and instruments, even while on earth.

Praise, thanks and glory to the Father, Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen.
