The huge dragon was thrown out - that ancient serpent, named the Devil, or Satan, that deceived the whole world. He was thrown down to earth, and all his angels with him.

(Revelation 12:7-9)

Spiritual warfare between God and the Devil began after 'darkness' had came into the mind and heart of the fallen angel, dragon or the ancient serpent.

He and his angels were thrown down to earth.

His reign is in the world of 'darkness' (hell) in contrast to God, which is the 'light' (heaven).

From their territories of darkness they mount attacks after attacks on the Kingdom of God on earth. The Kingdom of God on earth is in the heart of the 'little ones'.

They tried to deceive the 'little ones' of God by similar or more complicated advances as in the Garden of Eden. As the world progresses, so are the tactics employed by the devil and his angels.

Darkness still reign even in the heart of God's children in many different disguised ways. Where inside the hearts, there are obstruction, constriction, blockage, etc to the flow of God's love and Spirit, from there, darkness reigns and hold us in slavery and bondage. When mankind refused God to interfere in their personal, private lives or in their business, etc, there the devil and his angels would brings in all forms of spirits that is in opposition with God's Spirits. Mankind may be too prudent, especially those who think they are holier than others, to accept evil spirits, but they would come as impure spirits of which the world willingly welcome as their own companion and even best friend. What is in opposition to God's Spirit are all evil spirits, whether in saturation or dilution. It is another way to say 'by product' of the devil. They may also used objects, matters, instruments, agents, superstitions, etc to infiltrate into the hearts of mankind, causing fear, anxiety, hatred and all forms of the sins of the flesh. The devil may come as a single serpent, knocking and speaking in a very tempting voice, disguise as a hero or saviors. Once the doors of our hearts are opened, then that single serpent brings armies and legions of serpents, step by step to take possession of the hearts of mankind. This is hell.

Neither hell nor heaven is a place with boundary that physical eyes could see. It has spiritual boundary different from what we think of.

The sins of the flesh had caused more souls to enter hell than any other sins. Because this sin is the outright consequence of our participation. If we do not participate and welcome the devil into our lives, they had no power to push himself in. Whether we had been ignorant or freewill had not been positively exercised, we still bear the consequence if there are available sources of which we can gain excess to this knowledge, but refused. Wisdom of the world deceived mankind by saying, 'Knowledge of God's law brings about the consciousness of sins'. This is true, but by being purposeful ignorant, brings about greater judgement on us. For we are judged as sinners apart from the law.

The devil fully concentrates his energy on the 'Light' which Christ had brought down from heaven. Where the light is strongest, so are their attacks. Those who are bearer of the 'Light' had to pass through stronger test and trial than those having dimmer light.

But the bearer of light would be in great danger if they decided to separate themselves from God.

Where is the devil's concentration now?

As at Pentecost the Holy Spirit descended on the Apostles and all those who were called for a mission, in building the Kingdom of God on earth.

The Holy Spirit is the authority and power of God in establishing God's reign on earth and in heaven.

The Holy Spirit is the 'Light' of God. He was once empowering Jesus the Son of Man, while He was on earth. And brought about His victory, by conquering the impossible, that is the resurrection from the death. After His ascension, He unites Himself with the Father, in this same Spirit. The work of salvation and redemption could not be accomplished without the Holy Spirit.

The Holy Spirit is the 'Light' of Christ and of the Father. This is the 'Light' that brought about the defeat of Satan and his kingdom. They are defeated, but the battles are not over yet. As far as physical still exists, they had opportunity and ground to re-establish his reign, not in the world but in the hearts of mankind.

They had many unnoticeable tactics that the people of the world could not easily see. It is too minute for the naked eyes. We need the gifts of a spiritual eyes to be able to see the mischief, deceits, evil and malice of the devil in manipulating the weak mind and heart of mankind.

Sometimes they may disguise as truth and light. They achieve certain degree of victory through instruments, mostly human beings to spread their reigns. Most human being had carried some form of superstitions in their lives. Without having full knowledge that they are evil to the satisfaction of the devil. Here are some very common example of old folk tales, which in facts are rituals, actions or words that can be explain psychologically. But some are mere superstitions. We have come across so many people who would tell us that if meals are ready, and our loved ones had not come home yet, we must not mention his name. If his name is being mention then a certain superstitious words had to be mentioned to neutralize the harm that might or could be inflicted on our loved ones. Great emphasis had been given to food. If ever we think of a certain food, we must try our best to get it, fearing unexpected harm could happen. Concerning food or offering to ancestors. People may say, 'Yes! Indeed the food is tasteless after the offering. Even educated people can be deceived. Indeed the foods offered to any souls or spirits, were laid in the open. Evaporation of delicious juices would have taken place. The food may therefore look dry and tasteless. To aggravate this, the candles, joss stick, etc increases, the heat and the incense caused the food to taste and smelled differently. We all know that only physical body needs physical food, not spiritual bodies. They needed spiritual food. Who can provide?

No human being had this spiritual food. It derives from God, who is the source of this spiritual food. We may be instrumentals, stewards, etc to pass this food to others, but this does not come from ourselves.

Flowers, food, goods, etc, offered to them only as gesture of our love and concern. By doing so it gives a certain degree of comfort to the lonely soul. But the truth is they do not need these, they needed our prayers. Sometimes these lonely souls would seek help from those who are close to God. If we are one of them whom they seek, we need not fear but by doing so, they trust in us, for they had passed from physical bondage into the freedom of the spiritual world. They do not have to abide by the law of nature but only spiritual. Their spiritual senses are wide awake. Therefore they knew where to seek help. They knew, better than we do of the concentration of God's energy and light. They knew better who are those closer to God. Therefore in their lonely exile, they try to seek help.

There is a custom familiar with pagan concerning clothes that are being put in coffin. Their loved ones ought to cut holes in its pockets, so that whatever they receive from heaven, might be share with those on earth.

Pagan would try to connect fortune or misfortune to the spirits and souls of their ancestors. For them God is impossible to reach, accept only a handful of blessed people. Therefore they believe that the souls of their departed descendants had supernatural power, capable of providing for them in this world. They believed that their death ancestors might have reached a state of perfection and peace, so capable of sharing these with their descendants on earth. But pagans overemphasize on material wealth and power, neglecting their spiritual needs.

People may also use a certain grass, plants, flowers, etc trying to wad off evil. Yes! Indeed, that plants had aroma and fragrance that may caused sick people to feel better. Flowers with its natural beauty and colour bring joy to many downtrodden hearts.

Stones and objects, in fact are God's creation, that had been offered up to the devil in contrast to Christians offering up crosses, statues, objects for divine purpose, would transform material into spiritual things set aside for God or the evil spirits. Given to the devil would brings much harm and fear to the human spirits and souls. Given to God would brings much blessing and peace. Although the object by itself had no power, but those who had offered them up, knew very well that these were already set apart for spiritual purposes.

Having cross or sacred objects, blessed or unblessed, in the house, would have no significant at all, if the occupants of the house had no faith in God. So are objects that had been charmed, had no adverse effect, if the occupant of the house worship only God. The rituals, words said must be carefully studied, brought to light so as not to glorify the devil. They enjoyed enslaving us in 'darkness', thus living in fear of the untoward incidents that might fall on us. We must not be so easily taken in by superstition. Psychiatrist could explain that most of them were merely in sub-conscious or the unconscious part of the mind only. Faith in God, simple human faith versus faith in spirit or spirits, contrary to God's Spirit needed to be understood. If we cling on to certain elements for security, can they deliver, or had they the power to fulfill? Whom to thank and glorify, depending on the source of power. From God or the Devil.

If we cling on to the power derive from our human spirit and mind. As in 'Yoga' and other meditation, that enable the human spirit to exert itself to its fullness would have great impact on our physical and mental well-being. That person would gain greater control of his body and its emotion. Still human spirit and power is limited to this world only. This power, had to yield to God's power and authority.

There are many mysteries that human cannot explain, of which had been passed down from our ancestors, of which we are in the dark about all these. Those who hold on to these, simply trust and obey what they were told to do and believe, without question, fearing misfortune would strike them. Those who hold on to these knew that there are spirits involved. But they blindly follow, not knowing that some of them had its origin from the devil, who had penetrated the mind of mankind.

Some mysteries are divine and meant to lead us closer to God. But without knowledge of its purpose and source is very dangerous.

If we detach ourselves from depending on the worldly created things for security, then there is no fear of anything. By believing and trusting in God's Almighty Power, His Divine Providence of physical and spiritual needs, all else shall be in His Divine Words and 'Hand'. Just like rain falling to the ground, must fulfill its purpose before it returns to the sky again, so is the Word of God.

The devil and his angels would try to spread darkness to all organizations and ministries of the church. Instead of working hand-in-hand with God and one another, they tried to awaken the devil and sin inside the hearts of mankind involves in God's ministries. The final outcome are different organizations and ministries refused to co-operate for the good of the church but instead served their personal interest and needs.

Out of pride before God or mere ignorant, the church, which consisted of God's children, decided to let God's Spirit to empower only a certain part of their services. Many decided to serve God through their human spirit and power only. Complacent of the knowledge that by baptism, they received the New Life and Spirit brought about by Christ resurrection. By Confirmation, they knew that they were further strengthened. But they refused to pray to the Holy Spirit, which is the Spirit of the Father in undivided bond of love with the Son. To join that Divine Bond with theirs, in the service called and Anointed by God.

By refusing to yield and submit to God's Spirit to penetrate their mind which consist of the freewill and conscience that form the soul, heart and human spirits they make their service displeasing towards God.

Yes! Indeed God gives us brain with its human wisdom. Even to make these human brain and wisdom to work like slave to God, is far from pleasing Him. For He demand submission of all. He wants to consecrate our human brain and wisdom, to transform them into divine worship and Instruments. He wants us to join with Christ in the One Divine 'Servantship'.

The voice of the 'Little Ones' are too soft, to be heard. Many saints, were accepted and recognized only after they died. Most saints had lived a life different from the rest. The church and those in authority, usually give them a cold shoulder, if not harsh treatment and even classifying them as insane. These were the crosses they had bored in unity with the cross of Jesus. Jesus Christ was rejected and killed by the people of this world, in his time. The master was treated thus, so would those who followed His ways and lived His Life on earth. For the servant and instrument of God bored and carried the life of Jesus that is the Holy Spirit in them.

In Christian family which is supposed to be a domestic church. In the past the Jewish people consecrate the first-born son of every household for the purpose of domestic priesthood. Family is like a tiny cell. When all the cells come together, it makes up the whole church. The family of the worldly mentality, set their priority on physical things, whereas the spiritual might even be completely ignored. Most family today concentrate on academic education, so the chain might just blindly flow, unless God interfere. Seeking material wealth, position, power, etc in their agenda are given top priority. There are only handfuls of zealous and enthusiastic Christian families available. Many vocation to priesthood, religious lives and other divine vocation which had no material benefit were just buried alive, as their families persistently condemned and discouraged them, until they finally gave up. Although there are still some who fight on the battle, alongside God and won.

Many Christian families were broken and divorce rampant. It is a common sight to see children of broken families, suffered mentally and emotionally, the consequence of the breakup.

The devil enjoys destroying Christian families, for by doing so they destroy the church.

Parents are supposed to be instruments of God to care, love, and provide for the physical, spiritual and mental growth and wellbeing of God's Children entrusted to their care. In the world today, especially in those families had both parents busy working, entrusted their children to the care of baby-sitters, child care-centers and nannies. Some baby-sitters and nannies are lowly paid and exploited. In this state of being, they are depressed but situation had not warranted them another choice, so how much quality foundation can they passed and build on children under their care? What more to say religious foundation.

Most parents would send their children to faith formation or religious classes to acquire religious knowledge. This is only part of their obligation towards God concerning their children. Parents are models for their children. Faith formation is a life long journey.

The devil tried to diverse parents and children from fixing their eyes and giving full worship to God alone by channeling them towards entertainment, hobbies, pleasures and earthly things. Most families would have no time for prayer but plenty of time for worldly things and pleasures.

The Sacrament of Matrimony was the bonding of two different people, with different interest and past. They come together, in union whereby two become one. Both had a body, spirit and soul. They were joined together in Conjugal Love. The giving of oneself to each other, unselfishly. Each treating the others as their own. Two bodies, joined as one, two different human spirits, joined together in a spiritual merger and the souls grow together alongside each other. Therefore in choosing a spouse, we must be conscious of the spiritual warfare involved.

Overpowering this union must be the Holy Spirit, that was given as the union took place. Two people joined together in the bond of Conjugal Love, received strength from God to sustain and strengthen their union. Children from this union would be the fruit of their love in unity with God's love.

The devil looks with deep envy on this union and mount attack after attacks to destroy their union.

Another very obvious areas of which the devil had won part of the battles are the destruction of unity among Christians, of different denomination. Members of different churches blindly yield to the deceit of the devils. People of different denominations slandering, spiritually murdering each other, attacking each other loopholes, even though their leaders had start coming together to discuss on plans to patch up the differences. Learning to accept, understand and compromise with each other but this had very little positive result as it was not in their top agenda.

Spiritual warfare continues to bombard all those involve in this peace missions and procedures. Internal problems of different churches, future planning, expansion, construction, maintenance, evangelizations, pastoral cares, etc had been consuming their energies time and finance, that little is given to unity and co-operation.

Separation and disunity were never the work of God but of our sinful desire and will, in co-operation with the devil.

God meant that all churches work together, so that Christian can experience common brotherhood in unity with Christ.

God meant that slandering, gossiping, attacks, judgmental attitude towards other denominations and one another are removed from our Christian lives.

We cannot possibly be complacent dwelling in the body of Christ where there are attacks against each other. In the Body of Christ, there ought to be peace, love, joy co-operation, co-ordination and unity.

How can we call ourselves Christians, when all sins that pagan blindly committed are growing healthily in our hearts' soil?

By our divisions the devil works prove fruitful because the sinful flesh willingly allow the devil to use as its station to mount attack on one another, whom we call brothers and sisters in Christ.

We should be joining the camp of God and destroy the devil's stronghold, in the hearts of God's Children. That is where the Kingdom of God are.

Jesus cannot suffer physically as His Body had been glorified. But His Sacred Heart continued to be scourged, cried out to the Father in agony, burnt with the fire of love, sorrow to see God's Children turning away from Him.

Therefore we must ask God to fully open up our spiritual eyes and senses to see the aggressive spiritual warfare that is taking place and the courage to work alongside with God.

This battles and wars would finally end during Christ's Second Coming.

As Keeper of the Key into the Kingdom of Heaven, we must take the initiative, to light the fire of reconciliation, unity and love. It just takes a spark, and the fire would start growing. Each member of the church, whichever denomination must do our part to stop destroying one another but when one fall down, the other must give him a hand and bring to his feet once again.

The devil is trying to destroy mankind's unity. Where there is love, peace, joy and hope there is God, whether in family, community, country and between nations. Light in contrast to darkness.

Mankind create 'holy wars', drag the name of the all loving God along. The devil is at work, whereby foolish people would believe, glorifying the devil and shamed the name of God.

These wars were the consequence of their sinful desires of pride, anger, revenge, selfishness, hatred, greed, etc. It was never the work of God to kill, shot, destroy, rape and torture innocence victims.

In the past, when God instructed His people to reclaim the territory, that they once abandon, because of their exile in Egypt, there was bloodshed and great suffering on those involved. Was it God's will that they suffered?

God would have every right to hate and destroy the natives of that lands for worshipping false god, but was God using the Jewish people to be His instrument to punish them?

Historical facts as written in the Bible told the story as such but to accept them completely literally would be unfair towards God.

But the truth was that God loved His people, He would carry them on eagles wings, when they were facing dangers. He would do anything to make sure that His Children are all safe, like a hen gathering her chicks under her wings.

The devil tried to divert people from God to other gods and goddesses that are favored in the world today.

Jesus was once tempted during and after forty days of fasting, 'If you only bow down and worship me, the whole world and its wealth and values would be yours'

This temptation is actively before us in this spiritual warfare that is a reality. Each one of us had to make our own choice freely.

Members of different denominations must sincerely prayed for unity and co-operation. Pray that all instruments to destroy this peace process are removed. We must pray for all Christian families that emphasis be given to spiritual growth of all individual in the family.

Pray for inner peace for all people of the world.

Pray that we all would contribute to the victory of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary.

Offer up the Rosary and its mysteries, Chaplet of mercy, Masses, works of mercies and charities for these purpose, frequently or daily if possible for the restoration of the Kingdom of God on earth. For the triumph of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary.
