The Parable of the Yeast (Matthew 13:33)

"The Kingdom of Heaven is like this. A woman takes some yeast and mixes it with a bushel (approx. 36litres) of flour until the whole batch of dough rises."

A woman, here symbolized God. The purpose of yeast is to raise the dough. Biologically and chemically, the fungus was fed on the sugar, that was added into the dough of flour. Through this process, gas was released, which enable the dough to rise.

The fungus here, symbolized the unseen agents that brought about the fall and rise of man and his spirit.

Here the parable is in fact pointing to the positive result brought about by the fungus, in the dough of flour.

The Kingdom of God is so huge, symbolizing it with a bushel of flour.

The yeast in the Kingdom of God is the Truth, Way and Life revealed by Jesus. For Jesus is the only channel for us to reach up to God. Jesus, is the one who revealed, the Truth about God and His Kingdom.

God is the source of Life, and when the whole world fell into sin, once life, became spiritually lifeless. Jesus came, not so much to restore the physical but He emphasized on the spiritual lives and the souls. God, through Jesus had a better plan, as manifested through His journey in life of which, He too as representative and Savior of Man, had to die. For sin brought about death of the physical and spiritual. Salvation would be completed, after human's sinful flesh and spirits, went through the 'door' of physically death, of which the vision and will of God would be clearly seem before their very sight. They would not have the physical, to commit sins any more. Their wills and desires, once ill-informed, because of the sinful flesh and spirits' enslavement, would be fully enlightened and they would, by then know their sins, as the Light of the Holy Spirit, shone brightly, on those Blessed Faithful, in order to completely purified them.

God, through Jesus had plan to save the souls and then restore the flesh, after His Second Coming, by glorifying them in the flame of His love. What does this mean. Jesus, in unity with His human and Divine Nature as God, will never abandon Man. Through His own death of which He did not deserve, because He was spotless and sinless, but like the Lamb of God, He became the victim for our sins and faults. We continue to do injustice to Jesus, yet that was the role, He Himself, ask of God. What a price for the sin, that brought about by our First Parents, that bring such great glory to God.

That was, is and will always be the character and essence of God, in His perfection and holiness of which He Himself, through the person of human Jesus had performed. On the night, before He took the Paschal Meal, with His Disciples, He bent down and washed His Disciples' feet, and told us to do the same, so that we could be One with Him.

Followers and disciples of Jesus, in the past, now and time to come, who had consumed the Body and drunk the blood of Christ, needed to share in His mission, to be servants of God's people. Shepherds are in fact servants to the lambs and sheep. Just like parents are in fact servants to their children, as long as they were still vulnerable and needed attentions. Children would mature to be parents themselves, and the chain continued. The lambs and sheep, were receiver of love, care and nurture. But they must not be complacence with this role. They needed to be shepherds, too when they, having fed with the Spirit of God, through Jesus' Body and Blood, of which the whole world was, is and will always be freely and generously, invited to consume in order to inherit eternal Life.

Christian, who had not believed in the real presence of the Lord, in the bread and wine that they had shared, would, in fact be a lost to themselves. But if they were merely victims, of ignorant, of the transformation because they were ill-informed through obedience to those who had fallen, would not be deprived of the blessing and nourishment. That is through spiritual communion with God, in the Power of the Holy Spirit, God shall bless and nourish them just the same. Complacence, with ignorance and darkness, when opportunities were freely available in ordered to be enlightened, yet rejected them outright, would amount to Sin. Sin, because they rejected the Truth, which is Jesus Himself, revealing His Light through different channels, may they be through consecrated people, books or other manifestations and revelations.

The yeast in the Kingdom of God is the unseen Spirit of God, descending to us through the Sacred Heart of Jesus is filled with the fire of love for all man and for God, who is His human Father. In His human nature, Jesus is one with all His brothers and sisters, who had fallen. No Man was able to rise to the height of perfection, except Jesus Christ, in His truly human person, yet not without God. The salvation and perfection in His mother, Mary, was also the will and work of Jesus, who is the Eternal Word of God. With this perfection, God sees, not the sin of Man, but the perfection of His beloved Son, Jesus Christ. Through Him, God counted us worthy, to be His sons and daughters, so rightly able to inherit the Kingdom of God and everything that is reserved for Christ. What an awesome superb generous gift, God had showered on us through Christ Jesus, our Lord, Savior and Redeemer! Through Jesus Christ the Truth about the Kingdom of God was revealed to Man. Jesus is the Way into the Kingdom of His Father. For Jesus in His Divine Nature as God comes from there. He existed, before anything was ever formed, in the spiritual or physical world. Therefore He was in fact the First-born Son of Man. He came into this world only after every preparation had been completed. This Jesus Himself is the truth and life, is liken to yeast's fungus, changing the lives of mankind. Initially Jesus was the whole dough, consisting of a bushel of flour. It rose to its perfect size and later on He allows room for all of us to be part of the dough of raised flour. The yeast would continue to act and transform the un-raised flour, that was specially chosen by the 'woman', before she even add them to her perfect dough. The completion of her work, whereby the whole dough was raised to its perfection, would be the End of Time. In another word the dough symbolized the Mystical Body of Christ, of which Jesus once said, "Destroyed the Temple and in three days, I will build it up again". Yes! Indeed, Jesus as God, had raised the death and lifeless human body of Jesus. After that the Glorified human Jesus, became a Temple of which, God would put Jesus as Cornerstone of the Magnificent Building, and Man as bricks. Saints are perfected bricks, whereas those still under purification are, being crafted, molded, cleansed, from all impurity, before they can be properly fitted into the building. Finally the whole Temple, would be complete, shinning and perfect, for God to make His home there. In the Temple, Jesus in unity with all sinners who were made worthy of being God's Children (sinners were made whole, by the cleansing of Jesus' blood), would worship God, the Father of human Jesus, with their whole hearts, souls and minds, just like Jesus had. After Judgement Day, Glorified Human Jesus presented the perfect Temple, the New Jerusalem to God the Father.

The yeast is just like the outward signs of the Sacraments and sacramental. The biological and chemical reaction in the dough, with the yeast added, cannot be seen with our naked eyes, so is the Kingdom of God and His Spirit. The Sacraments and sacramental were outward signs, gestures, matters and words, but invisibly the Holy Spirit performs, His roles as Providence of grace and blessing, in accordance, to the true desire of the hearts and its wills.

For grace and His Spirit works in an invisible and amazing ways. We may be puzzled, and wondered in awe of God's intervention in the lives of so many people in the world, irrespective of persecutions and trials, in the world, families and personal lives. Most impressive of God's Power at work is in the lives, of those the world considered as the most undeserved sinners. For God, in His Spirit, through His Son, works out a salvation plan for each one of us. Therefore all of us must personally pledge, our hearts to God, in full submission, so that God could work powerfully in us.

Without Jesus the world will remain in sin and slavery. But the coming of Jesus is like yeast and the sugar, raising the dough, into perfection. It raises Man; gives hope and life. The Kingdom of God is still growing until Christ's Second Coming, by then everyone would have heard of the teaching of Christ.

When will the growths of the Kingdom of God in heaven and on earth reached its summit?

When the whole world, had opportunity to hear the Words of God, and those bound to be saved were saved, then God would call it a day for there shall be no further growth of God's Kingdom.

By then, God would sent, His Son to blow the Final Trumpet, signaled the end of time, the destruction and degeneration of all material and physical things and the systems and laws of nature would be terminated. The stars would fall, the sun, turned red and then dark, the moons disappear from our sight. The whole creation of living plants, trees, birds, insects, sea creatures, etc, that were once sustained, by the Spirit of God, disappeared, in horror, as we watched. The drainage systems, of river, sea, oceans and all water that flows in consistence turned into nightmares as they no longer function accordingly, as when the Spirit of God sustained them.

The rock, hill and mountain came crushing down and many would have been buried, alive or death, before Jesus finally commanded that calm be restored, which would only happened when all physical and the whole ordeal of destruction and termination of natural laws and systems were completed. As time stood still and limitation because of the existence of matter and space withdrawn, then how long the whole ordeal, from the moment the final trumpet is sounded, till the completion of the salvation of the 'Bride' of Christ, is still a mystery.

Then Man and God came face to face, in great joy and triumph, or in great fear and shame. Angels, would came face to face with the Devil, which the later, would tried to retreat in fear, like robbers and thieves, when enforcement authority came to arrest and punished them.

When all the garbage and trash were separated, from the house,

Weed from the wheat,

Stone from the fine sand,

Darkness from Light,

Sin from the saints,

When all the roughage and unwanted elements were alienated, the purified, crafted, molded, shaped and formed saints of God would join, the already purified saints in heaven. The Devils and all his agents and disciples, would be completely separated from the Kingdom of God, as the Old Heaven and Earth passed away. Everything would be renewed, as God commanded, His Spirit moved to fulfill His Words. A New Heaven and Earth appeared. A New Earth, for Jesus and His purified brothers and sisters, and a New heaven, which is the Throne of God. Heaven and Earth would be once again perfect and united. We would be able to, once again hear the footstep of God and the sound of His voice, would be pleasing. We would no longer hid from God, because of our nakedness and shame. Saints and angels, would for all eternity united fully with God, through Jesus Christ, in unity with the Holy Spirit. This shall be eternal paradise with God, on the New Earth.

What a perfect! What a splendid, plan of God! An imminent victory, awaits us, as Jesus the Victorious One leads the Way.

The end result of the 'woman's' labor, would be a perfect and finely raised dough, ready to be baked, for the Kingdom of God.

Praise the Lord. Amen.
