Fun, Primitive, and Whimsical Winter Dolls of 2003

       
Adorable Polar Teddy Bear Angel
Crafted by me, BonnieLee, using a pattern from Crafts Magazine

He is made of 100% White Fuzzy Felt, I have soft sculpted a bit around his black bead eyes to give him his adorable personality and embroidered him a cute little mouth. He has a Denim Blue Felt Scarf and Denim Blue & White wings with embroidered snow flakes on them.
 His arms move, his bottom and legs are weighed down with doll pellets to stay where he is put and making him quite a sturdy fellow..

 He is approx. 7 1/2" tall  and 11" wide from paw to paw.
He would make a great gift for someone you love or even for yourself *:O).

 This doll is not recommended as a toy, it is ideal for decoration, perfect for an added touch of whimsy anywhere..

 
 

      

     

Jolly and Whimsical Santa Claus Gnome

       He is made of 100% woven green and red plaid cotton. His mittens are green felt, he holds a yellow felt star. His coat and hat are trimmed with white plush felt. His face is soft sculpted with muslin. He has black bead eyes. His hair and beard is made from sisal rope I curled then applied each section individually. At the top of his twisted hat there is a jingle bell.

 His bottom is weighed down with doll pellets  He's quite the sturdy  and chubby fellow.

 He is approx. 15" tall  and 21" circumference at his widest point.

She is made of 100% cotton muslin . Her dress is Dark Green with snowmen and stockings on it. Her hair is 100% spun sheep wool right off the farm. Her Boots are painted dark green.
 Because her legs and bottom are weighed down with doll pellets she can sit on a shelf and stay where she is put. Her legs are knotted at the "knees".
 She is approx. 15" tall .

She would make a great gift for someone you love or even for yourself *:O).
 This doll is not recommended as a toy, it is ideal for decoration, perfect for an added touch of whimsy anywhere..

These adorable Primitive Folk Art  Dolls are hand-crafted  by Me, BonnieLee.


Meet Gynger and her Ginger Snap cookie Boys. This totally adorable dolls are made from  muslin that has been antiqued using my "secret recipe" which gives these dolls the look of a cherished treasure found in Grammy's Attic deep in a trunk, all that is missing with these dolls are the mothball smell!! . Gynger's dress is "thread worn" with three buttons. Gynger is has floss embroidered details and a dark green checker bow on her head.  The Ginger Snap Boys are made with dyed muslin and felt inside. Her YUMMY smelling Sugar and Spice Bag is filled with my own special mixture of spices and doll pellets to help it to stand. The faces are done with pigma pen and colored pencil.
 Gynger stands about 16" high , the Ginger Snap Boys are 3 1/2" , and the bag is 4" tall.

Polly's dress is made of a cotton woven fabric in Christmas colors with two buttons. Polly has wild yarn hair and her face is detailed with pigma pen.
 Polly stands about 16" high , Button is 3 1/2" .

Primitive Folk Art Santa

   

       This Charming Santa's  colors really do not show up too well with these images. He is made of tea-dyed muslin. with a soft-scupted nose and painted facial details, his beard and hair are from 100% lamb's wool, right from my family's sheep farm. His hooded coat is made from a marvelous marbled burgundy flannel trimmed with fluffy felt, his wonderful poofy pants are dark blue with an iridescent star pattern, his leggings are also fluffy felt and tied with jute. His mittens are made from plaid woven cotton. He is floppy, allowing him to be posed any position you would like.
 His "goody" bag is filled with my own Yummy smelling crushed spices and oil mixture along with doll pellets to help it stand where you put it. The bag is dark green felt with a star , peeking out from it are Cinnamon sticks, artificial berries and greenery and tied with jute.

 He is approx.19" tall, his bag is approx. 4" high .

I adapted and redesigned this Charming soft sculpted snowman from a vintage pattern I was fortunate to run across many years ago. Made by Me, BonnieLee,  in the spirit of the season.

       He is made of muslin which has been tea-dyed with tea, nutmeg, cinnamon, and allspice. Yummmy smelling!! And to add to even more of a seasonal scent, his arms are made from cinnamon soaked preserved twigs, wow!! when you get this charming fellow you will certainly know the cooler season is just about here with all it's delicious scents!
 His facial details are painted, he has a sculpted carrot nose, painted heart, and a torn "rag" woven scarf.

 He is approx.11" tall .

 His facial details are embroidered with button eyes, he has a sculpted carrot nose, dowel arms with dark green mittens on the ends, and a torn "rag" woven scarf.

 He is approx.11" tall .

 This cheery guy has been a favorite at the local gift boutiques and fairs I attend for many years.   *:O).
