Beleaguered, disallusioned, craving respect, but seldom getting any, The chief clings to every shred of dignity within grasp..and maintains his authority only by the sheer massiveness of his ego.
He doesn't deserve the Poohawks, and should never have answered that "Chief Wanted" ad in the newspaper, but he's had no other offers, except the one from that tobacco shop, to stand outside their door with a bunch of cigars in his hand.
