Hilde came West to find a husband, stopped off in Grimy Gulch, liked the
atmosphere (there being no other woman in town), spotted Tumbleweeds, and made
him the focus of her life from here to eternity, just for starters.
She's the
classic spinster, not only because of her single status, but because of the many
webs she spins to snare him...always dragging him off to the Justice of the
Peace, but never able to hold him long enough to tie the knot...but she never
gives up.
Gung-ho and dountless Hildegard's brazen, but not a hussy. For her,
it's marriage or nothing. It's Tumbleweeds and marriage that are important...but
not necessarily in that order.
