Through these doors pass "some of  the best, some of the worse and some of the most indifferent poets in the city of Chicago", which is pretty much true of any profession when you think of it. Or not.

After  Joffrey Stewart (top left photo) exposes the hypocracy in the American political system (ahem, again...), MC Gregorio Gomez (above) tries to find the approrpriate words to sum up the complex observations. Needless to say, he failed miserably. (Just kidding) . Later,  Billy Tuggle (bottom left) takes time out from his busy poetry schedule at Mental Graffiti, Trace, and about 15 other venues to enthrall the crowd at Weeds...
The outspoken "Mamma" Maria McCray reads one of her latest works while a newer sucker, er, poet tries to gauge the optiumum distance between the paper and his eyes for comfortable reading. He does, however, have excellent tastes in t-shirts (It's a Parliament "Aquaboogie" album cover logo, if you can't make it out.)
