Welcome to the Wee Ice Mon Golf Club website!  This site provides information about the golf club such as tournaments, members and officers as well as other information about the greatest game -- golf!

The Wee Ice Mon Golf Club was founded in 1994 as a way for golfers to establish a handicap and hold tournaments each year at various locations around Northern California. The club was also established for the purpose of creating a fun way to understand and appreciate the game of golf.  Actually, we really established the club as an excuse to get together every month or so to have a drink and spend time with friends.

For those of you who are wondering how we got the name "Wee Ice Mon" for our club, it is in honor of the greatest enigma in the history of golf, Ben Hogan.  In 1953, after winning the Masters and U.S. Open golf tournaments, Ben Hogan travelled to Scotland for his first and only appearance in the British Open.  He dominated the tournament to win his third major of the year and due to his relatively short stature (5' 3" tall) and his icy persona on the golf course, the Scots dubbed Hogan the Wee Ice Mon.

We hope you enjoy the site and any suggestions to improve or enhance the site are welcome at the email address on the home page.

Best regards and good golfing!
