The next time you feel like getting a new mp3 player, consider the other options that exist. Not common is the ATRAC player, which condenses music files so you can fit up to 400 songs on any CD/R cd. The player also has a screen which will display the name of the track. When placing songs onto the CD, you can group the songs by artist, genre, or any other way you wish to group them. Although MP3 players have clear advantages when it comes to size and are better if you plan to listen while excercising, an ATRAC player is good for trips of just listening to music. The paticular Sony ATRAC player I own has unbelievable skip control. Even when being shaken, the music will not skip at all. Another bennifit to ATRAC vs. MP3 is that with an ATRAC you still have the option to listen to any CDs that you already own without turning them into MP3 format.
ATRAC players are a great choice over MP3 players also because of price. ATRAC players range from $50-80 while MP3 players are usually $100+. Which one you choose, however, is based on what you will use it for.
