THE FIRM by John Grisham is a suspenseful thriller. It is the story of a man, Mitch McDeere, who is fresh out of law school. All of the top law firms in the country are recruiting him because of remarkable grades. However, Mitch suprises everyone when he takes a job with Bendini, Lambert and Locke, a small law firm in Memphis. This firm was willing to give Mitch an attractive salary, a BMW, and a happy career and life. No one had ever left Bendini, Lambert and Locke. Mitch becomes curious when two firm employees are killed in a suspicious explosion. They become two of the five people to die in a mysterious death in thirty years while at the firm. Shortly after, the FBI approaches Mitch. They suggest that the firm of Bendini, Lambert and Locke is not really who he thinks they are. A law firm is just a front to the business that occurs behind closed doors.
