What a crazy weekend for college basketball. On Thursday, it looked like there weren't going to be many upsets, the biggest one was Wisconsin-Milwaukee beating Alabama. But on Friday, the wheels came off the bus around 10 o'clock when T.J. Sorrentine single-handedly propelled the Vermont Catamounts to an overtime victory over the 4th seeded Syracuse Orange. Two hours later, Kansas lost to 14th seeded Bucknell.
These were just two of the many upsets occurred over this four day weekend.  On Saturday, (6)Utah beat (3)Oklahoma, (6)Texas beat (3)Gonzaga and (7)West Virginia beat  (2) Wake Forest in a double

overtime thriller. Also on Saturday, Wisconsin-Milwaukee kept their run going by taking out the 4th seeded Boston College Eagles. On Sunday, 10th seeded North Carolina State defeated the defending champion Connecticut Huskies.
Without a dominant player or team in the NCAA Tournament this year, the field is wide open and anybody in the Sweet 16 has a shot at winning it all. The best game is on Thursday at 10 PM when Eddie Sutton's Oklahoma State Cowboys go head to head with Lute Olsen's Arizona Wildcats. The Cowboys are the 2 seed and the Wildcats are the 3 seed in the Chicago Regional. The other matchup in Chicago is Illinois versus Wisconsin-Milwaukee which Illinois should win. Oklahoma State will come out of that region and advance to the Final Four.
North Carolina has been the only dominate team throughout the tournament and they will face either Wisconsin or N.C. State. In the Austin Regional, Duke plays Michigan State and at the bottom of the bracket, Utah plays Kentucky. The number one seed in the Albuquerque Regional, the Washington Huskies, face a tough challenge against the Louisville Cardinals and the winner of that gane will play either Texas Tech or West Virginia.
After the Sweet 16, there will be many interesting matchups with underdogs and top seeds trying to reach the Final Four in St. Louis. This is the time of year when anybody can maje a dent in the NCAA Tournament. No team is safe this year, not even top seeded Illinois who is facing the lowest seeded Sweet 16 team. The next two rounds will be extremely exciting and very wide open.
Some teams to watch in the Sweet 16 are West Virginia, Utah, Louisville and North Carolina State. These teams are lesser known but still have a good chance at making the Elite Eight and beyond.
